I've been on on bupropion xl 150 mg for almost 1 year. During this time my depression has gotten worse. I attributed the decline in my mood and inability to cope to things happening in my life. Now I'm wondering if this generic form is the problem. Anyone else having these problems? ## There is also a chance that it may just not be the right medication for you to take. Not all of them work for everyone that tries them and some people become resistant to some fairly fast. Have you talked to your doctor about? You may need to try a different medication.

I have been taking 450mg of buproprian made by "GLobal", I think, for one month. I went from 300mg Bup. made by Anchen & doc saw fit to raise dose. I feel worse now than when we made the change and I think it is because all generic drugs are not made the same. I have experienced lower eficacy using other generics. ## You are correct, they are not all the same. Generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%. The FDA considers this an acceptable therapeutic window and for most people it doesn't cause a problem. However, if you are sensitive to medications, the slight fluctuations that can occur when switching from one generic to another, since they aren't required to measure against each other...

was told by my pharmacist that Sandoz is no longer manufacturing buproprion - I can find no information to substantiate this - anyone have any info? ## No, I can't find anything to substantiate that, either. Sometimes, for a pharmacy, making such a claim really means that they just haven't been able to obtain it, perhaps their current supplier stopped carrying it, or the price changed and they just no longer want to have to order it in. Unfortunately, while some are very helpful to their customers and will go out of their way to make sure to order in your preferred or needed medications, there is nothing that obligates them to do so. Since long my wife aged 54 years is suffering from depression. Three weeks ago her doctor prescribed Bupron XL 150, 1 tab. in morning and Nexito LS, 1 tab at night. But since then she is unable to sleep properly at night and the depression also worsened. When contacted the doctor told her to take double the dose prescribed early. The situation worsened. Now she is totally drowsy and at night also she is feeling that she is awake. ## It really sounds like these just aren't the right medications for her to take. The fact that she is experiencing the opposite of some of the intended effects is what makes me suspect that. Has she contacted her doctor again? I think there's a good chance that she needs to try alternative medications.

Both pills are from same MFR and are 150 MG. I know what they are but what is the difference between the 2? Why would same MFR make 2 pills with same brand and MG? ## They're not made by the same manufacturer, the one with the E 415 marking is manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, while the one with the 737 marking is manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals. However, what often happens is that one company purchases the other and, when this occurs, they will use up the remaining stock of a product that they both manufacture and then one or the other will be discontinued later. Can you safely dissolve Bupropion SR 150 MG? The tablet is hard to swallow. ## Hello, Ann! How are you? No, you cannot. The SR designates it as a time released mediation, so dissolving it may result in your getting to much of the medication, at once, which could cause an overdose. The best thing to do would be to speak to your medical provider about prescribing the regular release tablets, so you can cut or break them, if needed. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, nervousness and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?

Protamine Drug Index

Protamines are small, arginine-rich, nuclear proteins that replace histones late in the haploid phase of spermatogenesis and are believed essential for sperm head condensation and DNA stabilization. They may allow for denser packaging of DNA in the spermatozoon than histones, but they must be decompressed before the genetic data can be used for protein synthesis. However, in humans and maybe other primates, 10-15% of the sperm's genome is packaged by histones thought to bind genes that are es...

i have taken the drug Nasonex and i havent suffered any eye troubles or anything of that nature but i was wondering if i should use it after the expiration date ## How long has it been since the expiration date? The shelf life of Nasonex is noted to be up to 3 years when stored below 25°C (77°F) in the manufacturer's original packaging material. If its been continuing to work for you even after the date, then I'd say it's fine to use. According to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. I don't know whether or not the drug you have happens to be one of the drugs from their study, but for your ...
