Treatment for Axiety ## The name of the medication is actually Pristiq, it contains the active ingredient Desvenlafaxine, it's an SNRI antidepressant. You can learn more Pristiq details here. I started on Pristiq ER 50mg and also Lipitor 10mg a month ago and saw the doctor at that time. She listened to my heart rate which was fine. The Pristiq has been working very well and I have even lost 5 pounds; had gained about 40 pounds on Cymbalta. So about a week and a half ago I noticed that my pulse rate was irregular which could have started before I noticed it. I got very light-headed at work. I went to ER the other night and my heart rhythm was going in and out of bigeminy which is a normal beat followed by a premature ventricular beat. I just wore a Holter Monitor for 24 hours. Lab work was ok and I need to see a Cardiologist. I have never had this before and am just wondering if anyone else had had some symptoms like this. I have been on pristique 50mg for 13 months now. The first 9 months I felt great but after that I feel that the pristique has started to wear off and going up to 100mg is no different. Today my doctor has reccomended that we add Wellbutrin 150mg in combo with the pristique. She took 20 round blue xanax, 10 25 mg Promethazine and 2 50 mg Pristique that I know of for sure, Tuesday between 3:30 and 9:30 PM. At 5 AM Wednesday her BP was 134/35 and heart rate of 115. Her BP is now 140/94. She has fallen, cannot stand alone, wet the bed once and wet on the floor once. She has no insurance and resisted, strongly, going to the ER. She seems to be a little better this AM. I applied cold cloths to her face and neck and tried to wake her every 15 minutes. Has anyone switched off of Pristiq to Contrave? My Dr wants me to make the switch. I’m scared to death of the side effects that come with weaning off one and starting another. ## Has anyone recently started Contrave and had to wean off of Effexor or Pristique? I am currently taking Pristique 100 mg and will need to wean off of it and start the Contrave. I’ve had mild depression and anxiety and have taken Pristique for a number of years.

I have been on Pristiq 50 mg now for 9 days and I'm getting more depressed than when I started. Will this pass? ## Actually, that is something you should have been warned about in the drug monograph, if you received one from your pharmacy. Though it isn't common, antidepressant can cause the opposite of their intended effect in some people. Learn more Pristiq details here. I've run into similar problems with everything we tried to use to help some anxiety and irritability that I was suffering for awhile. Have you contacted your doctor? You really need to talk to them to be on the safe side. took me off celexa and put me on pristique-is there any other medication that comes close to pristique,or is there any other drug that contains desvenlafaxine.
