Primary Care Doctor

I have been on 4 bottles per month for over 6 years. My primary care doctor no longer sees patients and his nurse practitioner sees all of his patients. The nurse practitioner is now saying she will only write a prescription for 2 bottles a month. Any suggestions for a new primary care doctor that will help? I live in Tennessee. ## That is very odd, usually the actual doctor has to see you every few months, in most states. Can you post back and be more specific of the dosage you were taking? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Have you asked about seeing the actual doctor?

Can you please tell me where I can find a primary care doctor in the 37757 or 37766 area for my nerve medication. I have been on 0.5 mg of alprazolam 3x day for 40 years. My primary care doctor wrote them out for years and stopped over a year ago and had my pain management doctor writing them out and he gave me my last prescription for this month to due me till Oct. I am looking for a Primary Care doctor who will prescribe Norco in the Sacramento area. I don't take them often, just when the pain becomes too intense. My doctor stopped prescribing them, sends his patients to Pain Management. I am taking expired pills and they work well, but eventually I will run out of them. my husband broke his back his L 3 Vertebrata two years ago and was prescribed oxycodone from his sergeant and has been on this narcotic every since. And now he got a letter stating that he can no longer recieve his prescription from that sergeants office anymore and that he needs to go to his primary care physician and he does not have one.. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, PCPs are no longer allowed to prescribe such medications on a long-term ongoing basis. So, I have been seeing a PA for a about a year now. I recently told him my anxiety has been flaring up due to grad school and tons of group projects and presentations. I went to a psychiatrist years ago and was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and was prescribed klonipin or xanax consistently until I simply couldn't afford to see them anymore. It was a 50 dollar copay and they wanted me to come in every month, I just couldn't afford it. My current primary care doc (or PA rather) told me that he is not allowed to prescribe benzos anymore bc they have cracked down in NC. Is this true? Or does he just not want to bother. Should I try to find a better primary care doctor, or is this indeed true in NC and I should simply look for a cheap psychiatrist just for the anxiety? ...

I'm looking for a good, caring primary care physician that is anywhere between cleveland, tn and knoxville, tn. I already see a pain mgmt specialist and all the pcp's I've called say they don't take on patients who see a pain dr. idk why cuz all I need is monthly checkups. I'm an HIV patient in my final stages of my disease and have been without a primary care physician since the Covid pandemic began. Going into my 8th week of treatment... Not too many side effects. My surgically induced osteoarthritis stopped 3 weeks into treatment. Came down with a cold and sinus infection a week ago; getting rid of it naturally - no herbs. I have another problem, the Gastrologist I was seeing in my primary care group practice decided to leave. A lot of drama going on there. My virus has been undetected after 3 weeks. Starting my 3rd month next week. The good thing is I have the form from my doctor for the blood work after 8 weeks.
