Pred 5 Mg Tablet

I went to doctor for sinus and constant sore throat.I was given Pred 5 (18tablets) 6 tablets daily for 3 days.What is the reason for 6 tablets.(white small tablets) ## Hello, Kathy! How are you? In this case, my best guess would be that your doctor prescribed it to help with the inflammation in your sinuses from your illness. It is very common to be given a high bolus to get the medication into your system and working as soon as possible. I was diagonised fungal infection last year and advised Predmet 8 mg bd and also taking Bod zedex syrup for coughing and regular use of inhaler Aerocote twice. Used this course for 4 months and was recovered. Now after period of 5-6 months ,I feel a little problem of coughing and sputum . Though sputum does not much say 3-4 spots daily , but wheezing often during day time and more while sleeping . Advise in this situation can I continue use of Predmet for a few days to get relief and whenever I face this problem sometime in between. Whether by using it wil be harmful and have undesired side effects. predmet is tablet for spondilosys ## I can't find any information on this, however, based on the name it MIGHT contain the steroid Prednisone to help with inflammation, but I cannot be certain of that. Do you have any other information on it?

I have trouble telling the difference between my 25 mg tablet of metoprolo by Ranbaxy and my 5 mg tablet of prednisone by West-Ward. How can I easily tell the difference when in my pill case? ## Take a closer look at the imprints on them, the imprints are on the tablets and usually placed on most prescriptions labels, as well. The 25mg Metoprolol from Ranbaxy should have the marking RE 79 on it. The 5mg Prednisone has the marking WEST-WARD 475. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Just because you're taking generics doesn't mean that you cannot ask for the same generic company for your meds. Perhaps you could ask your doc to Rx both meds from the same generic company. The Metropolol and the pred 5 from Ranbaxy (for example) do not look alike.

Yikes. I accidentally took all my first day of Methylprednisolone pills at one time. Will I be ok? ## Hello, Ann! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? Usually, they are only spaced out to try to help minimize the side effects, as listed by the FDA, they may include nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, and insomnia, so taking them all at once, may worsen those effects. The last time I was on this, my pharmacist flat out told me that it was fine to talk them, all at once, if I preferred, so I did. If I did so in the morning, then the worst of the side effects were worn off, by the time I was ready to go to bed. It's always best to double check with your doctor to be sure, though. ## This was helpful.I took all 6 at once and thought I might have overdosed.

I just started prednisone 10 mg pills for bronchitis and asthma. The dose is 4-3-2-1 3 days each. I lost a pill at the beginning. What is my best day to reduce 1? ## When u r down to two do not take any away from the beginning that is when the medicine that is when the medicine is trying to pounce on the problemwhen you get in a lower doses it doesn't matter as much not really going to text you a whole bunch anywhere but in a perfect world right before the end but not at the end is best but does not so much matter

I have to start this in the morning, is this a lot at once I have to do this 2x a day for a bad cough. ( I have had it for 3 weeks) Also should I take a lower mg closer to time to get off it or what. I am taking This medication for a sore inflammation area in my chest that I have seen a physical therapist for. He told me to work out to stretch the chest but to do push ups and everything still. My other doctor gave me the steroid pill to get rid of this inflammation. With this medication are you supposed to rest it or use the muscle more? I still have inflammation in that spot. I am 80 years old. I have a) Night dry cough spoiling my sleep and well being. b) Have lack of stamina after early morning hours worsening to inability to walk even a hundred meters by evening. I am 14 years old. One week before a ball hit on my left eye. I got severe injury. Doctor suggested me to take Predmet 8 mg tablet 6 per day (for every three hours for the first 5 days).
