Hi everyone....I posted a few days ago about my suboxone being stolen and was wondering if using a 30mg oxy a day to take care of withdraws then resuming my suboxone once Im able to get them filled would send me into withdraws?? I took a 30mg oxy at 8am then a half of a 30mg oxy at 8 pm. I was able to get my suboxone filled at midnight thanks to a wonderful pharmacist at Walgreens. Ive been in withdraw since 11 last night....at 5am I decided to score myself on the Cows and I scored a 20. I decided to take a suboxone. It has been twenty minutes since the suboxone and I don't feel well but i don't feel sick...I have absolutely no energy!!! Will I know if Im getting precipitated withdraws. My cramps went away and Im not really sweating just kinda got the chills a lil bit. My chest ...

Hi all, first time posting. Thanks for reading. I have been on suboxone (will call SB bc I don't like "bupe" or "subs"... they just sound like using talk to me and I'm trying to avoid that, nothing against anyone, just my thing...) So today I woke up, took my spironolactone, wellbutrin, abilify, adderall, provigil, and 2mg SB bc I'm trying to taper off. Then I remembered I'm out of the armor thyroid that I switched to about 6 months ago, so I took my levothyroxine. I then took 2 tylenol, had black coffee, green tea with splenda, and toast. A couple minutes later I used the off brand monostat for a yeast infection I'm sure I have, but haven't been to the md yet, and some hydrocortisone. I also smoked about 1/4 of a cigarette... after a few minutes ...

I stopped taking opiates in 2001...was on methadone until a year ago when I switched to subs... I've been on Subutex 2 months.... Well yesterday, for a reason i don't quite understand, I relapsed. I have been thru precipitated withdrawals and they TERRIFY ME.... MY QUESTION IS...HOW LONG UNTIL I CAN TAKE MY SUBUTEX AGAIN? I HAVE TO GO TO A MOTHER'S DAY TEA WITH MY SON TODAY (HE'S 5) AND I CAN'T RISK BEING IN PW/D.... PLLLEEEAAASE ANYONE? ## Just as when you first started it, you need to be in full withdrawal, before taking your Subutex, again. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and co...

I started out with pills and eventually led me to to the all mighty H that was laced with fentanly. All I want to know is if it's possible (because it happened almost 24 hours ago). If I'll go into immediate withdrawals again? ## Hello, Lost! How are you? What are you asking about? You didn't mention any particular drug, nor did you post this in any particular medication forum. Can you please post back and clarify, so I can help you? Thanks!!! ## I went through withdrawal from norcos for two months. I filled it at Walgreens and it just so happens that they are getting sued. At the same time I have several things wrong with my back and hip. I have reasons to take pain meds, not to feel high. I almost died. I prayed for Jesus to take me. I don't believe in suicide but if I...

I'm a "do-it-myself-er". Trying to kick an opioid addiction. I got some methadones and took (a total of) two 10mgs over a two day period. Decided to go the suboxone route, so I got three 8mg strips (quartered them) and took 1/4.. My last dose of methadone was 27 hours ago.. How soon will I know if I'm going to experience P.W.s? It's been right at an hour ago and I don't feel bad other than a terrible case of the shakes.. I'm not sure why... Any info would be GREATLY appreciated :) ## I take 90 mg of methadone a day I had a dose of 35 yesterday will it put me in precipitated withdrawls and I get dosed in the a.m. will it hurt if I take a zubsolv? ## Hey where are you located? And did you kick the methadone? If so I'd like to know how!!!! Please respond!!!!...

Does anyone have experience switching from large doses of Kratom (25g a day) to a Butrans patch? Is the Kratom strong enough to give precipitated withdrawals? The Butrans is for pain. ## That's an interesting question because it's usually the other way around, with patients switching from prescription opiates to Kratom. Having taken Kratom myself, my opinion is that I don't think it'll stop Butrans from working altogether, but if your opiate receptors are already filled by Kratom then Butrans may only add to the level of cross tolerance if I'm not mistaken (and affecting drug efficacy from a tolerance standpoint / not enough receptors to fill?). Some feedback I've read also suggests taking a short break from Kratom during the transition to allow other opiates to ...

I was on suboxone 45 days, to help, with withdrawal if methadone. I had completely tapered myself off of methadone but, the withdrawal s was just to much to function... So I had almost an entire script of suboxone 8 milligram strips left. I taper down to .25 milligrams. My doctor told me it would be ok to start naltrexone 3 days after I stopped the suboxone. He said to take 1/4 of a 50 milligram pill. WOW that was cray it sent me straight into precipitated withdrawal... Now I don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP. ## Have you informed your doctor of what happened? Usually, they do have you wait 72 hours, which means a full 3 days, taking nothing until the 4th day. What types of symptoms are you having? The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including naus...

Wanted to say I just came out of precipitated withdrawal! What holy hell! I have been on methadone for 6 years taking 115 mlg daily & got myself down to 50 mlg for 2 weeks, waited more than 72 hours, then took 2mlg suboxone. I was fine. Not better, just not worse. Following my doc's orders, I took another 2mlg 90 mins later. Ok, then took another 2mlg after 90 min and oh my god. Almost instantly threw me into precipitated withdrawal! This was to say the least horrible ×1000. Don't want this to happen again but determined to switch to subs. When can I try again without going through hell?! Please help! ## Unfortunately there is really no specific time frame as everyone is different. The best way to tell when your body is ready is to make sure you are in full blown withdr...

Does Etoshine precipitate or exacerbate Papilloedema? Can it also raise your blood pressure? ## Hi james, Increased blood pressure and palpitations (unpleasant sensations of irregular and/or forceful beating of the heart) are actual side effects of this medication. If it tends to persist or become too severe I would strongly recommend contacting your doctor about switching medications or possibly lowering your dose of Etoshine. Other possible side effects that you may want to become aware of are: -Weakness -Fatigue -Dizziness -Headache -Flu-like illness -Diarrhoea -Wind -Nausea -Indigestion (dyspepsia) -Stomach pain or discomfort -Heartburn -Changes in blood tests related to your liver -Swelling of the legs and/or feet due to fluid retention (oedema) -Bruising I hope this helps! ## My m...

I would like to know about any reports of psychosis precipitated by Losartan. ## Why is this medication typically prescribed? ## Losartan is used mainly in the treatment of Hypertension. Some common side effects of these types of medications can include: nausea, headache and dizziness. I can't find any information in regards to this medication causing psychosis, though it could simply be a bad reaction to the medication, in which case a person should consult with their doctor immediately.

Will going straight from 40mg Norco daily to a Butrans patch cause precipitated withdrawals? ## Yes, it may, since Buprenorphine takes a stronger hold on the opiate receptors than the Norco, so it tends to kick it out, so to speak. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Did you doctor instruct you to switch immediately? ## I'm waiting for her instructions still and all of the info online is confusing. On their website it says if you're on the equivalent of 30mg morphine or less that you don't have to taper down, but other sites say totally different.

My adult son took 1/4 of a 50MG naltrexone last night and is going through precipitated withdrawals now. He asked me to post the following question. What would happen if he took the another 1/4 later in the day? He is bound and determined to making his doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon for a vivitrol shot. ## Hello, BuckOwen! How is your son doing? He'll likely keep experiencing severe withdrawals. However, the thing you need to be aware of is that precipitated withdrawals can be very dangerous, possibly life threatening. He could even suffer seizures from them. Other typical PW symptoms, as listed by the FDA, may also include fever, chills, vomiting, diarrhea and insomnia. What did his doctor tell him to do, before starting the shot? ## Long ago but I hope he is well. Yea...

Would taking Tramadol before the Vivitrol shot put you into precipitated withdrawal? ## No. Tramodol is a central analgesic not an opioid or synthetic opioid or even semi- synthetic opioid. That’s why it’s trash as a medical treatment. ## Yes, Vivitrol can block Tramadol, and cause precipitated withdrawals, the same is true of other opiates, as well. Mixing them is not advised. Vivitrol may cause side effects, such as nausea, decreased appetite, muscle cramps, and weakness. Ref: Vivitrol Information Is there anything else I can help with?

Both subutex and suboxone will cause precipitated withdrawal. It is the bupe that connects to the receptors and kicks the methadone out. Naloxone is just an extra blocker!! I am a social worker at a clinic. Waiting at least 12 hours only if on low dose 20mg or less should b OK. But 24 preferred. ## If you take a little less then half of a 8mg subutext 15 hours ago is it safe to take 20mgs of methadone does anyone know! ! ! ## Why do people always minimize Naloxone? EMTs give the ODs Narcan, which brings the patient into withdrawal. Naltrexone (Vivitrol) has been used with chronic opiate addicts and alcoholics in several forms, pill, 30 day shot, implant. It is a VERY strong blocker and has many side effects. I have personal experience with this medication & know that it is not somet...

I've been taking many Oxy 80's daily for the past 2 years. I am on 8mg sub film 2x daily. I still experienced precipitated withdrawls and I waited 54 hours before I started with the subs. Has anyone experienced this and if so what did you do and how long does it last. Thanks for the advice and best of luck to all. ## Based on my research, stomach pain (upset stomach); constipation; euphoria; feelings of depersonalization; & feeling light-headed; are the closest Suboxone-related side effects I'm finding to the symptoms mentioned in your description. Do any of these sound like what you may be going through? I also went ahead and posted...

How Long Do I Have To Wait Take Suboxone after taking 10mg oxycodone so i dont go into precipitated withdrawals? ## You have to be in full withdrawal from all other opiates, before you can safely take Suboxone.
