5 weeks after taking Clindamycin for a strep infection of my finger, I am having all over itching and a constant headache that is not alleviated by Advil of Hydrocodone, and is keeping me from sleeping at night. I took a probiotic inbetween Clindamycin capsules but it did not prevent this reaction. I'm still taking a probioti; perhaps not the most effective one. I need to hear any solutions from other people this has happened to. ## Hello, Traci! How are you? It is not typical for such side effects/reactions to linger that long after finishing your course of treatment. Typically, they go away within a week, or 2, according to FDA reports. Have you consulted your doctor to have this checked out? There might be something else going that requires medical treatment.
