My wife aged 63 is type 2 diabetic. 20 days ago she was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and her blood sugar quite high e.g. 348. On further investigations it was found that she has H1N1 too. She was sent to ICU in isolation and treatment for pneumonia and swine flu along with diabetic treatment started. She was on oxygen. She was quite critical. Fortunately she didn't go on a ventilator. After 10 days in ICU she was shifted to ward. After three days she was discharged. Her sugar was in control and her lungs were clear. Judging by the look of it and other pills produced by this manufacturer (Teva Pharmaceuticals USA), I am almost certain that this specific pill is derived from various animal by-products. The blue dye alone is a red-alert in my book.
