My daughter has been suffering for several years and we have seen specialist after specialist all saying she is fine but she has purple cold feet upon standing, rapid heart beat upon standing, digestive problems, sleep problems, no energy, etc. etc. which are debilitating. We have recently read about POTS but she is afraid to be turned away by yet another doctor. Does anyone know of a doctor/specialist in Edmonton, Alberta, who is familiar with this disease? What side effects have other patients reported while taking Fludrocortisone? ## I have POTS and I faint all the time. I was put on this med before and it made me very nervous. Now I am trying again and am gaining weight and again very agitated. ## I do the same thing. Can you try lowering the dose? I've found with a lower dose I still get the benefits but I don't get agitated. I hate that. Good luck. ## Do not change your dose without first checking with your doctor. I have been on Fludrocortisone, Midrodrine, and Pristiq for depression, the first two 3 months for POTS , but, now depression has gotten bad. What can i do to stop the steroid since depression is one of the side-effects? ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? I'm sorry about the way you're feeling. Since you've been on it this long, a slow taper is the safest and best way to stop it, to avoid dangerous complications. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to help you set up an appropriate tapering schedule. What dosage of Pristiq are you on? You may need a dosage adjustment, or to add another medication. The typical side effects of Pristiq may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes.

I am recovering from surgery and I have found that the little solid white hydrocodone 5/325's make my skin itch and burn horribly and also make me feel wired like I had 5 pots of coffee. The brands with the little red or blue specks, as well as the ones with the peach color (Norco I believe) do not have any of these side effects for me. Hello, I need help to understand how this antidepressant works for anxiety. I am suffering from severe anxiety (suspected hyperadrenergic postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome - hyper pots) which causes my heart rate to increase by 30-50 beats per minute upon standing, along with a blood pressure increase, and so it's hard for me to even stand because of heart palpitations, fatigue, dizziness, etc; and so i lay in my bed for 22-23 hours daily for 8 months, my muscles are GONE, & I am only existing. My son is 14 and has been taking Vyvanse for about one year now. His current dose is 60mg daily. Over the past 4 months he has been experiencing side effects that led doctors to think that he has Neuro-Cardiogenic Syncope also known as POTS (Postural Orhtostatic Tachycardia Syncope). So now on top of his Vyvanse he is now taking Toprol 25mg daily. His symptoms include rapid heart beat, dizziness, blurred vision, and chest pain. He had a TILT test performed and failed. But now after reading more, I think that these symptoms are all side effects of his medication. Today is my first day at IOT.. I had a head injury one year ago .. Was given extremely high doses of oxy for 5 weeks .. Which turned into a very bad habit .. I took about 60mg a day .. Put on half a .1mg Clonidine to take only once a day and was only taking it for less than 6 days. I forgot to take it and want off the pill. I also take 2.5 Corlanor at night and .5mg Lorazapam as needed. I am so scared and terrified of withdrawal. I was put on med for my Hyper POTS disorder. Will I be ok? Started bupropion 3 days ago and wondering why I am hyper and smoking twice as much? How long before I have less urge to stop smoking? ## Hello, Etta! How are you? This medication can cause some people to feel hyper, anxious, and nervous, according to the FDA. When I tried it, years ago, it made me feel like I drank several pots of coffee and I had to stop taking it, never did anything to change my smoking habits. In most cases, side effects are transient, and will improve once your body gets used to a medication, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. Does anyone else have major anxiety while taking Wellbutrin xl ? I started taking 300mg in September and it has lifted my depression immensely . But the anxiety is really getting bad and makes me question every decision I make in day to day life . I feel like I'm going crazy ! Holly cow does this drug gives me crazy anxiety...like the worst anxiety I have ever had. It also makes me extremlyy irratable and out right mean. I take Xarelto for A-fib, and have a cold with runny nose, nasal congestion and sneezing.
