What is an equivalent to potassium chl tab meq cr? These are extremely expensive. ## Hello, Susie! How are you doing? I'm sorry, but there really isn't another equivalent available. You'd have to take tons of the over the counter potassium supplements to equal the amount in these. The best thing to do would be to check the price at various pharmacies in your area to find the cheapest possible, take them as directed and then just eat more potassium rich foods to avoid it dropping low again in the future. Are there any other questions or concerns?

Can I use potassium gluconate instead of potassium chloride and if so how much to equal 20 meq ## Hi Donna, Can you get a little bit more specific on the abbreviation of Potassium "Chl". There are a few possibilities to choose from with that prefix, such as Chloride or Chlorate. To put it simply, Potassium "Chloride" as a supplement shouldn't be used when chloride-levels are normal, or when chloride should be avoided (ie: kidney diseases). Potassium gluconate is a type of potassium salt that people use as a supplement as well. It's more often used to treat hypokalemia, or low potassium. As far as comparing doses, I haven't found any specific details on this just yet. But in general, Potassium is very very easy to get in your diet, just by eating foods rich in...

Is there a problem if I drink grapefruit juice while I am on Coveram 10? ## Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between grapefruit juice and Coveram (perindopril arginine). Should I be taking the above medications daily? ## Can I take 50 mg pristiq, 2.5 mg indapamide and 81 mg aspirin daily ## Hello, Jack! How are you? Has your doctor instructed you to take them all? If so, it would be best to follow their instructions, although this combination may lower your potassium level, so you do need to be careful of that, thus, it would be a good idea to eat potassium rich foods, such as oranges, and bananas, as well as having blood work done regularly to be sure. The U.S. FDA lists the other side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation.

Can you take this medication if you have high sodium levels? ## Contraindications for Miralax indicate that you should check with your physician IF you have a low amount of Sodium in the blood OR a low amount of Potassium in the blood. It doesn't appear to state how this interaction affects the medication; but controversially, if one has a low amount of Potassium in the blood, their sodium tends to be high. This isn't always the case, but it would be good to check Potassium levels just to be sure. One way to help prevent this is to decrease your intake of sodium rich foods (mostly everything that is packaged or frozen) and increase your daily intake of fruits and vegetables; particularly dates, figs, and bananas that contain high amounts of Potassium. If you do have high sodium ...

I ran out of my klor- con 10 prescription and don't have my doctors appointment where I can get a refill until May 4th. Will my potassium level become dangerously low. What can happen if I don't have it? I do believe that my doctor prescribes it because I'm on Warfarin, but I am also on many other medications. ## Hello, Jessie! How are you? Many medications can cause low potassium, but for the most part it occurs with diuretics used to treat edema, congestive heart failure and high blood pressure, as reported by the NIH. You could try to keep it up by eating potassium rich foods, such as bananas and oranges. Or you could call your doctor, they may phone in a few days of it for you, to get you through, until your appointment. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Hello i take one amloretic plus one ciplavasc 5 does that cause severe leg cramps morning and night plz help ## Hello, Linda! How are you doing? Has there been any change? It is most likely due to the Amloretic, since along with removing fluid from the body, it can also deplete potassium, and low potassium is the most common cause of leg cramps, according to the NIH. You could also be dehydrated, which could just worsen the problem, since that is another possible side effect, according to the U.S. FDA. How much fluid do you take in each day? What types of foods do you eat, anything rich in potassium, such as oranges, or bananas?

Woke up this morning with severe cramping in legs.Am presently taking Accrete d3 tablets and been on these for a while.Should I be taking these together? Also feel woozy bu it wears off. ## Hello, May! How are you? The Lercanidipine can sometimes cause potassium loss as a side effect, and that can cause leg cramping, according to the NIH, so that may be what's causing the issue. Other side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. It most likely does not have anything to do with the Accrete D3. How many potassium rich foods do you ingest, each day? What does your normal diet consist of? ## Have been to my Doctor who has taken me off the tablets and put me on to a water tablet.

Just learned that the chronic cough I've had for two years might be caused by this med. What would be the alternative Rx? ## Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Lisinopril. I personally used to have severe hypertension for a number of years, but was able to control it by controlling more of my eating habits and exercising. What works for me may not work for everyone, but my initial advice is to look into natural ways (before prescription alternatives) such as: Low/no sodium foods to help reduce inflammation and water retention, supplementation of garlic, as well as having a diet that is rich in potassium and magnesium. Other dietary and non dietary options for lowering blood pressure can include (but are not limited to): L-Theanine Magnesium Glycinate Coenzyme Q10 Garlic Ha...
