What time of day is this med best ingested ## The dosing instructions for this medication do not list a specific time of day that one should take it, so I assume that you can use it at your own convenience. The adult dosing information for Potassium Chloride is posted below in regards to 'Prevention of Hypokalemia': "Oral: 10 to 20 mEq orally once a day given in equally divided doses using formulations which include normal-release tablets or capsules, extended-release tablets or capsules, dissolvable tablets, oral solution or powder for dissolution mixed with an appropriate volume of water or juice." Potassium Cl ER 20 Meq TA
Is there an OTC substitute for this? I cannot afford this. ## There are over the counter Potassium supplements that you can purchase. However, if yours is low and your doctor wants to bring it up fast, they are not going to work like this will. Have you tried pricing it at different pharmacies? There are generics available. The reason I ask is because I have a bottle here and the first pharmacy I called for a price wanted over $40 for 30 tablets of the generic, however, I called another and was able to get their generic, in this same dosage, for only $12. Low potassium can cause severe health problems, so it is not something you can let go and hope it resolves itself. Did you doctor say why they want you on it? ## My friend's docter prescribes Potassium CL ER 20 MEG Tablets for leg ... ...

But is that to much potassium in a day. Because potassium comes in MEQ not mg. So should i take 2 tabs a day or go back to just 1 tab a day. They said that the 10 meq is equal to 750 mg so thats 1500 mg a day. Is that going to be to much potassium. ## i am taken 1 10 meq of citrate potassium 4 times a day, 1 chiorthalidone 25 mg, & 2 , 20 meg potassium cl er micro, i have my blood checked each month my potassium alway low & lately i am very itchy on my arms, am i having a interactin with the two potassium medication ? ## My client was told by her Dr. to take potassium 50 mg 2 x a day... ...

Pot Cl Micro Tab 20 Meq
why it say do not lay down for 30 min after taking this med ## This is a Potassium supplement and the can be very irritating to the stomach and this may cause some reflux issues. If it does cause this reflux of stomach acid, it could cause damage to your esophagus, such a ulcerations. Are there any other questions? ## How can we use this potassium product without stomach or esophagus issues? ## As is usually stated in the instructions from your pharmacy, don't lay down for at least half an hour, after taking it, to prevent the acid from refluxing. It may, however, still cause some nausea and stomach irritation and, in that case, it should be taken with a light snack or meal. Are there any other questions? ...
