todler 5yrs old. Gave 5ml purbex. Stil getting fever with chils every 4 hours. Giving 15ml ponstan 4 pain. Must i increase purbex dosage? ## How is the child doing, now? Purbac contains Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim, it is an antibiotic used to treat infections and it isn't going to help any faster if you up the dosage, so you should only use what the doctor instructed you to. My doctor prescribed me pontalon 500mg, 1 tablet 3 times a day for my migraine for 4 days.
