In July of 2017, i was admitted in the hospital for fluid overload, (I am on dialysis) my primary doctor was there and ordered xrays for my chest and had said my chest was clear and he left. But the other residents lied to me and said that i had pneumonia. And they proceeded to give me bags of levoflaxacin through if. Since I've been home, i am experiencing a strange discharge, my jaw is swollen on my left side, i had high blood pressure, lupus, pacemaker and on dialysis. It is October and have not taken one blood pressure pill because my pressure drops significantly during dialysis, i believe it is because of the levoflaxacin. I was given medication that i did not want or need and i guess that this is ok because I am powerless to do anything about this. I am angry because I am stil...

I agree that the pharmaceutical companies are selling drugs that are poisons and do not cure the persons disease and at an enormous cost. At the same time the some of these herbal cures are high priced as well. So if there are natural medicines out there and the producers are not making enormous profits why is the cost so high??

What can happen if you take too many tablets of Predmet 16 mg all at once? Is it life threatening? If someone takes a high dosage at once, what can happen and if you induce vomiting right away, will that help? ## According to CIMS, Predmet is a brand of Methylprednisolone from India. That being said, it's a corticosteroid, so in case of overdose you should call 911 or poison control WITHOUT DELAY. Medline Plus states: " Symptoms of corticosteroid overdose can include: - Altered mental status with agitation (psychosis) - Burning or itching skin - Convulsions - Deafness - Depression - Dry skin - High blood pressure - Increased infection risk - Muscle weakness - Nausea and vomiting - Nervousness - Sleepiness - Stopping of menstrual cycle - Swelling in lower legs, ankles, or feet - ...

Xanax, (alprazolam) is wildly popular and prescribed often. I voluntarily took myself off 1mg. of Xanax at bedtime as I was already taking benzodiazepines. Hangover and sluggishness the next AM were a problem. Not too terribly habit forming when titratrating down or switching to a alalog like diazepam. Years ago my Dr. dispensed Dalmane 30 Mg.for insomnia. They are definitely euphoric and very habit forming. The next day, I couldn't concentrate for hours. Clonazepam was safer and less hangover was apparent. ## Did you have a question for us or is this just a bunch of your thoughts? ## YES, I HAD A STATEMENT. XANAX IS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE AND VERY POPULAR. ## Yes Xanax is both of those. It also works quite well and is pure poison, go figure? I'm not sure Klonopin is any 'safer...

Have lead poisoning from teen years. now in 50's, My ear seems plugged after the 10 days and a short trip to higher elevation. Dizzy and weak also. ## Hi noknee, How are you? Sorry to hear about your previous run in with lead poisoning. I had no idea lead remained in your system for such a long time. Although from what I understand, there are ways to detox it out with proper exercise and dieting (e.g - juicing fresh fruits/vegetables, taking activated charcoal, as well as various "heavy metal detox" supplements on the market). At the moment there don't appear to be any methods for determining if prescription antibiotics interact with lead specifically, so you may need to have your doctor evaluate the condition of your ear and see if it might even be the result of an alle...

Ipecac Drug Index

Syrup of ipecac (/pkæk/), commonly referred to as ipecac, is a drug that was once widely used as an expectorant (in low doses) and a rapid-acting emetic (in higher doses). It is obtained from the dried rhizome and roots of the ipecacuanha plant (Carapichea ipecacuanha), from which it derives its name. In particular, the rapidly induced forceful vomiting produced by ipecac was considered for many years to be an important front-line treatment for orally ingested poisons. However, subsequen...

its white on one side of pill it says ph then theres a line in between 073 ## Is it possibly PH 063? We have discovered that tablet to be 400mgs of Guaifenesin, a generic or store brand of Mucinex. If it really is PH 073, then it is also more than likely an oTC item, which would explain why it's not in any databases and also why poison control didn't know what it is. OTC items are not required to have their markings logged by the government. You can see several threads about the one with the PH 063 marking here: If you are certain it is 073, then there is a good chance it contains this same ingredient, but is a higher dosage, though, at this time, we cannot confirm this. Was it found in the U.S. or elsewhere?

TRAMADOL=DECEPTIVE POISON. this drug is one of the nastier little secrets of the painkiller industry. from my experience it is highly addictive with all the standard withdrawal symptoms plus severe interference with the logical thought processes, more so than other opiates. and to think that this drug is advertised as a safer alternative to other painkillers. I work with numbers as part of my job and I was unable to function once i ran out of my supply early. put myself into a long term suboxone rehab program. am almost ready to "graduate" from the program. (yipee!!!). this nightmare has cost me about $450 a month for doc visits and meds. TRAMADOL = DECEPTIVE POISON ## Sorry about the problem you had from taking Tramadol. And yes, it can be very deceptive. Since it is classified...

is it poisonous if taken in excess quantity actually one of my friend said that she has taken in excess quantity. ## Hello, Vibha! How are you? Yes, taking too much Acetaminophen/Paracetamol can result in overdose toxicity, which has the potential to be fatal due to liver failure. Taking high amounts regularly, even if you don't hit the point of fatal toxicity, may cause permanent liver damage. This medication is listed by the FDA as being most commonly used to treat pain and fever. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness and headache. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was admitted in the hospital for 4 days, due to a severe reaction to poison ivy. Both of my legs were really swollen, red, painful, & hot to the touch. The doctors ran a complete CBC blood count & it was confirmed that my white blood count was high, my potassium was low, & that I also have an immune difficiency. They treated me with intravenous antibiotics & Methylprednisolone for 4 days. My swelling, redness, & pain did subside however, I am uncertain as to whether my progress was because of the antibiotics or Methylprednisolone. I was discharged after the fourth day & prior to being released, I did inform my doctor & nurses that my entire family at home was sick with the flu. I woke the very next morning with a bad cold that turned into the flu which also...

Can Indomethacin and Wellburtin taken together cause a reaction? Lightheadness, dizzy, confusion, slurred speech, blood pressure was high. I ended up in the emergency room. Poison control said it was these medications that caused this. ## They aren't actually interactions, but they can be side effects of these medications, which could be worsened by combining them. For example, both Indomethacin, and Wellbutrin may cause dizziness, drowsiness, sedation and somnolence as side effects, according to FDA reports, so taking them both could make those symptoms more severe, and that could lead to the slurring of speech that you experienced. The high blood pressure is also something that can be a side effect of both of these medications, so it could be worsened by combining them. Ref: Medli...

My Doctor prescribed this med. for sleeplessness. About three weeks later I felt pressure in my head, felt faint, short of breath, or like a very bad hang over, or like I've been poisoned. Plus a high rise in blood pressure. I don't drink or do illegal drugs. I stopped taking the drug and feel 90% better. The only thing is I can't sleep now, I get about 2 hrs a night. ## I've been taking seroquel/quetiapine. What can i do for sleep when I'm not taking these drugs? ## Take Diphenhydramine. It's OTC and safe. ## I've been on quetiapine for the last 4 years. If I continue taking quetiapine for my entire life does it become harmful or cause any side effects? In recent days, I stopped regularly checking-in with my doctor. ## Take an actual sleep aid, unless you ac...

BAL in Oil Dimercaprol

Dimercaprol, also called British anti-Lewisite (BAL), is a medication used to treat acute poisoning by arsenic, mercury, gold, and lead.[3] It may also be used for antimony, thallium, or bismuth poisoning, although the evidence for those uses is not very strong.[3][4] It is given by injection into a muscle.[3] Common side effects include high blood pressure, pain at the site of the injection, vomiting, and fever.[3&#9...
