I have UPMC health plan and they are terrible about prescribing appropriate medicine for my chronic back pain. I'm wondering if any other physicians in the area would be more accomadating? ## If you are genuinely in crippling, horrid chronic pain, as I have been for 25 years, one of two things. See Dr. John Moossy and have an intrathecal pain pump trial, as I did or move to California or Nevada.......where I hope God will let me make it.

Looking for a pain management doctor in the pittsburgh area. I m a combat veteran that has been in multiple IED explosions that messed up my back and neck and gives me constant headaches. Unfortunately the VA refuses to help me because I told them I had a problem with the vicodin and perks they gave me after two surgeries a few years ago, I took too many b/c they werent helping, but now i'm marked as an addict. I have been on 20-25mg methadone pills for two years now and it has done wonders for me, no need for anything else and can work while on it. I cant stress this enough how much the benzodiazepine has helped me in the past. I'm 53 and all I want to do is live some kind of life. This medication has helped me in my social fears, my depression, my stress and anxiety. I dont know how to tell a psychiatrist how i really feel. And how this helped me for many years..I cant sit still, i don't interact with the outside world. I cant explain the way my head thinks and acts. They never seem to give me a problem and always have stock of everything. Bonus is the pharmacist (Dan) is very friendly and never gives me a hard time ## You should probably check the place that Congo has mentioned. Otherwise, it is probably just a matter of time, before most pharmacies have them in stock, again. Opana was recently reformulated, so there was a slight shortage, due to the delay in production.
