I have pins and needles in my hands and feet. When i carry bags it's even worse. I took Neuroboin for 3 months. Should i continue? I had my thyroid removed. Thanks. ## Neurobion is just a multivitamin supplement that contains some nutrients that are believed to help with some nerve pain, but it isn't actually proven to do anything. In addition, if you are suffering from a condition that is causing continued nerve damage, nothing is going to be able to help, until the situation is rectified, if a solution exists. Learn more Vitamin details here. That said, such tingling usually results from some type of nerve damage, or pinched nerves. Have you consulted a doctor so they can look into what's causing the problem? ## You may have a neurological disorder. I would make an appoint...

I was thrown to the floor about three months ago. I went to the hospital and the doctor said i have nerve damage and that it would go away in a matter of weeks. Well it hasn't and the sensations getting worse down my neck, arms and legs. What do you think it is? ## Hello, Danny! How are you? Well, as listed by the NIH, those are classic symptoms of nerve damage, however, there is a chance that it is permanent, or that you suffered a pinched nerve that requires treatment. Are you on any medications? Have you revisited the doctor?

Hi everybody. I am currently tapering off Zyprexa. Have been on it for five years at 5 mg daily. I have been experiencing tingling or pins and needles on my feet and hands that switch around sides and sometimes disapears. I wouldlike to know if anybody has felt this while going off this med. Thanks ## Hello, Jorge! How are you doing? Have things improved, yet? Those types of symptoms can happen when withdrawing from pretty much any psychiatrically active medication, including this one. You should make sure to let your doctor know about them and seek medical attention if they get severe or you feel that you are in danger. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I have been taking this for 2 months now starting at 20 and now at 30 and I've been waking up (sometimes after only 4 or 5 hours sleep) with severe pain in my fingers, hands and sometimes my arms!? I don't see an exact pattern it seems to be more random. Has anyone else noticed similar effects when taking this medication? Maybe it was more so in the beginning, I should have written it down it was very frightening and painful ??. ## Since my last post I have experienced an alarming event with my fingers turning white and painful and it turns out it's something called Raynaud's syndrome. You kind of Google it, it is exactly what happened to me twice now since my last post. The vessels close and basically stop circulation to the fingers at last at 30 mins the first time n 1...

what are known and possible side effects if this medication ## i've been taking keppra for about 9 years now and I've noticed that it does make me sleepy. It's not really bad where I can't function or work. It's really easy for me to fall asleep at night. Aside from that I haven't noticed anything else. It really helps keep my seizures under control as well. I hope this helps*** ## Keppra contains the active ingredient Levetiracetam, this is an anticonvulsant used to treat epilepsy, Some of the most common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, sensations of pins and needles in the extremeties and irritability. I recently started taking Mirtazapine for depression. I started at 15 mg. and this was increased to 30 mg after about four weeks. I have started to suffer almost debilitating lower back pain on a daily basis which I do understand is a rare but potential side effect. In addition, my hands are slightly swollen and any repeated use of my hands/fingers also results in severe pain. The hand pain will subside after I stop whatever I was doing. In addition, I sometimes lose feeling in my hands (almost like a lack of blood supply) and when I change their position, I experience "pins and needles". Has anyone else had this combination of symptoms? Will they resolve themselves over time or should I have my Doctor switch me to something else? Any feedback would be appreciated. ## I have sto...

Dry mouth in the morning along with pins and needles in the fingers, can this the cause ## Hello, Jimmy! How are you? Yes, dry mouth can be a side effect of most medications and the pins and needles may be due to how it affects your circulation to help lower blood pressure. Its other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Are you on any other medications?

After nearly 5 years of trying to get docs to take my complaints seriously, I was finally diagnosed with Hashimoto's a couple of months ago. About 3 months prior to that, they started me on Synthroid. At follow-up, my TSH levels had not improved so I was switched to Levoxyl. A couple weeks after starting it, I began experiencing tingling across my forehead and scalp. A pins and needles sort of feeling. Several weeks later the tingling is ongoing, though it waxes and wanes in severity. Then a couple weeks ago my feet started to swell. I was noticing my shoes felt tight and was getting sores on my toes from rubbing. I made no changes to my daily routine or diet that would explain this swelling. My ankles don't really look swollen-just my feet and it's gotten quite uncomfortabl...

I suffered a stroke 3 weeks ago. I'm still experiencing pain in left foot and left hand, but the entire left side body numbness I first had has lessened greatly. Though at times severe, the hand, wrist, foot and ankle pain is not constant....sort of tolerable for periods lasting perhaps a few hours, returning from semi-tolerable discomfort to outright pain that also can last for hours. It's a cycle I've yet to comprehend so I can't really anticipate when the pain's going to hit hard. This is more than the 'pins and needles' feeling I now accept as my new lifes constant reminder.....This simply is hours each day (and night) of hurt. What medications, OTC or prescribed by doctor, can be recommended? ## Hi, Matt! So sorry about the stroke and subsequent pain. Th...

I take Venlor XR 150mg daily for treatment of chronic depression. I have developed what is presenting as a nervous condition something that is making my thigh muscles weak with pain, numbness and pins and needles in my feet. My Neurologist has prescribed 10mg daily of Trepoline to treat the nervous symptoms which I have been taking for 10 days. My depression symptoms have become significantly worse ( although there are circumstances in my life at present that are causing much anxiety). Could the Trepoline be a cause of the deepening depression symptoms?

How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you've experienced. Generally, edema can be a side effect risk from all cardiac and blood pressure medications. As reported by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and increased urination. You just kind of have to try various ones, until you find which ones work for you, without causing such unwanted side effects. Neurologist finally said it neuropathy resulting in a drop foot. Drop foot not curable. Will need to wear splint.. Will Mentanx help me get a normal gait to my left foot? ## Hello, Annie Fanny! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. The FDA classifies Metanx as a medical food, it is contains a variety of nutrients, such as B vitamins, that are believed to help with nerve health and function. Since it is a supplement, the only reported side effect is nausea, in some people. As to whether or not it will help, there is really no way to say, the only thing you can do is try it and see. I have been having pins and needles in my right hand for quite a while mainly at night, it is so painful that it wakes me up. I googled pins and needles and the suggestion was to change my pillow which I did without success. I don't think I suffer from stress although I do worry about my daughter and grandson. My doctor has prescribed Xanor SR 1mg but it makes me feel like I am on another planet and I feel very unstable whilst walking but the pins and needles don't happen as often ## Have you talked to your doctor about this? Xanor contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, which is a Benzodiazepine that's used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. However, it is pretty potent, so the 1mg may be too high of a dose for you. Learn more: ## Hi. I am currently immigrating to n...

Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a601202.html#side-effects Does this also describe what you've been experiencing? It appears to be listed as a "general side effect" of the drug and not necessarily related to withdrawals, although it may very well be what triggered the side effect to manifest. I was on Lyrica for nerve pain, numbness in feet while walking, pins and needles in feet when I got up in the morning, after taking Lyrica for just 2 days I had severe creepy crawlers in my brain, they told me that this was the first they had heard of this side effect. I was put back on Neurontin because I did not have any side effects with this medication when I was treated 3 1/2 years ago for symtoms of a stroke. I have still not gotten any true diagnosis of what has been going on with my body. It is just plain crazy to have several MRI's and CT scans and your Neurologists difference in opinion.
