alternative low cost medicine for pinom 20 ## I am 46 year old.I have diabetes since ten years with high b/p in the range 90/140.I am taking insulin,amlog-L,Isrly 2 mg., Galvus met 50/750,pregeb,Thyroxine.I have blood presser of 90/140 and diabete 160 pp and 280 post meal.I have been further sugessted to take pinom 20.Please let me know the funtion of pinon? ## Pinom contains the active ingredient Olmesartan, it is an ARB class medication that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and to improve cardiac function. I am regularly taking one tab of Pinom-A 40 after dinner. I feel very uncomfortable with this drug. My blood pressure is 110/100. Should I continue this medicine? Will it affect my kidneys? Please suggest. ## How long have you been taking it? What do you mean by saying you feel uncomfortable? The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. It has been known to affect kidneys, but very rarely. ## Frequent urination, frequency of intake of water is more during night : more than five times (one litre or more) , nausea dizziness drowsiness is associated. I have diabets from last 10 years & I am taking insulin daily morning & evening.please get me the answer of the above mentioned subject at the earliest ## Pionorm contains the active ingredient Pioglitazone, it is an oral antidiabetic medication, it's different than insulin, but has some of the same effects. Mother 69 yrs chronic dry cough 3 months..changed bp medication from pinom20 to cilacar 2 months back no improvement in cough..now ongoing treatment for seasonal allergies..still no improvement in cough ## Somewhat similar for myself.but I am also taking shelcal os 500 and zyq10. Initially I stopped piñon 20 cough improved ..now again it has started.I am also afraid to stop in fear thT my bp will go up.please suggest remedy ## Cocerned sin, how long has she been taking the Atorvastatin? Because that could also cause a cough. Me and Myself, once that cough happens with any given medication, it doesn't stop, it will continue any time you take it, so it's not surprising that it caused it, again. Have you consulted your doctor to see what alternative medication you can take?

Her investigation report is as under: Total Serum Cholestrol ........ 248mg Serum TRI Glycerides .......... 175mg HDL ........ 45mg VLDL ......... 35mg LDL ........ 168mg Serum Urea (DAM) .......... 38mg Blood Sugar - Fasting ..... 110mg - P.P ...... 220mg Blood pressure .....154/90 To control blood pressure, the doctor has prescribed: Repalol, Pinom 20mg & calchek 5mg To control the blood sugar , prescribed medicines are- Zoryl M2 (b.d.),Pioz 15mg (O.D.) To control cholestrol- One doctor has advised Lipicure 10mg while the other has prescribed Rosumac 20mg daily. The side effects of these two medicines has put me into anxiety. Pl. advice me what would be appropriate medicine to control cholestrol.
