My mom gave these to me for my tooth want to make sure they are amoxicillin250 with an A44on capsule before I take them ## Hello, Jazz! How are you? Yes, they are manufactured by Aurobindo Pharma and they list them as containing 250mgs of Amoxicillin, which is an antibiotic that is used to treat infections. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Hi, I was prescribed pink and blue 45A by my doctor and this is my third time using them and all three times they have tasted like vomit. Is anyone else having that problem, or just me? ## Hello, Madelyn! How are you? Most medications taste awful, unless they are specially formulation to have actual flavor, according to the FDA. In actuality, you shouldn't be letting them sit in your mouth long enough to taste them, you should put it as far back in your mouth as possible, just short of gagging and swallow it immediately with a full glass of water. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

i would like to know what it looks like a cap ## A friend gave me some medicine, she said it was amoxicillin 500 mg. the capsule is red and white. It has no imprint on it. There are no numbers at all. she is a nurse should I take them or call the pharmacy ## I would bring it to a licensed pharmacist and see if they are able to identify it. I have seen two manufacturers of amoxicillin 500mg. One of them is an elongated orange capsule. The other, also elongated in an identical shape, is pink and red. ## All manufactured U.S. prescription medications, be they capsules, or tablets, are required by law to have unique imprints on them to enable their identification, in case of emergency. Thus, something is not marked, is most likely an over the counter product, though there is also a small ch...

Hi my son is 6 years old and has pink eye. I took him to urgent care because I couldn't get into his normal pediatrician before they closed for the day. He has also been having pain behind one of his ears/kind of on his jaw line. I told the doctor this and he checked his ears saying he did not have an ear infection but that he believes it could be mastoiditis. This concerns me but the doc acted like it isn't a big deal. He prescribed eye drops for pink eye and amoxicillin 250mg/5ml suspect 100ml and told me to give him 17.5ml 2x a day. He only weighs 46 pounds. I feel like this is way too much for his age and weight. Is this amount too much or is it normal for his diagnosis? Please help! ## You should give him the dosage the doctor has prescribed. I have 500mg Amoxicillin capsules for an ear infection and they are pink and blue. Last time I had an ear infection the capsules were red and yellow. I'm wondering if these were a different dosage, its been a few years but I believe they were slightly smaller. I'm hoping the ones I have now are a higher dose because it took a 4 week course to clear it up last time, and now I have a 2 month old daughter and have to stick cotton balls in my ears when she cries or I black out for a second from the pain. Last time my ear drum ruptured, I'm really hoping I've caught this early enough to prevent that happening because that kind of pain was atleast 100x worse than labor. ## Based on the colors which you are describing for the capsules it sounds like you have the Amoxil brand of...

Can I cut the big pink Amoxicillin 875 mg pill in half so that I can swallow it? It's too big for me. ## Hello amanda, Unfortunately I am unable to give you a direct answer with just knowing that it is an amoxicillin 875. Some brands of this medication are coated for extended release so that your body has time to properly absorb the active ingredients before your stomach acid from destroys them. So while it may be acceptable with some brands of the medication, it may not be with others. It is always better to play it safe and ask your doctor or pharmacy about the flexibility of your medications consumption. If you are struggling to administer your medication I suggest you discuss this with your doctor. There are options that you and your doctor can agree upon to ensure you are able ...

Hello, and thank you for being there. My wife had been taking a course of amoxicillin for cystitis but stopped yesterday and today feels terribly weak, with occasional hot flushes and pain below her left shoulder blade. She is a 73 year old 'Anglo-Saxon' weighing about 110 lbs. She has not lost any weight, but her BMI has been low for years despite all attempts to build it up. Her height is 5'7". The dosage was 12 x 500mG pills on the first day of the course and one 500mG pill a day for 16 days, total 28 pills. She had nearly finished the course but stopped because her skin was yellowish and her urine was darker than usual although bowel movements were normal in colour. Her skin is improving in colour ; pink is beginning to replace the yellow ! FWIW she'd had a sore ...

Hi My daughter has 2 bottle of amoxicillin in the refrigerator. Never used but already mixed. The pink one. The expiration date in the bottle says January 2018. Will it still be good to use? The actual date mixed was July 18 2016 ## In my opinion it should be perfectly fine to take. I say this because I would personally feel comfortable taking it based on the info you provided. Depending on storage conditions many prescriptions can reportedly last up to 40 years after the listed expiration date (with few exceptions such as tetracycline). Harvard University and the LA Times both have articles online recognizing this... But since it's not even January 2018 yet I wouldn't even begin to question its efficacy (especially because it has been refrigerated)... Does anyone else have thou...
