If i started sprintec a week ago on monday with out me being on my period and stopped today on a monday can it prevent me from getting pregnant? ## Hello, Brittney! How are you? That's why some women have gotten pregnant from just forgetting to take one of them. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, breakthrough bleeding and PMS-like symptoms. I left the oralcon pill 4 months ago so now I feel dizzy and vomiting all the time I barely cant eat food and I have stared shaking as well. please advise what might be the problem because those are pregnancy sign and sometimes I don't go to the period for two months and go in the 3rd month and sometimes I don't go for one month and go again is it normal when left the prevention pill ## Hello, Minks! I sometimes get my period and sometimes don't, so I am wondering if I were to have intercourse while on the white or purple pill am I still protected from pregnancy? ## Hello, Chels! How are you? As long as you haven't missed any of the active tablets, then you are protected, regardless of whether or not you have a period. I started using Oralcon-F pills 14 hours after intimacy. We didn't use protection. Is there any chance that I can get pregnant? To be effective, these must be taken daily for at least 7 days, before engaging in intercourse. There are some that you can take in higher doses, after intercourse, to help prevent pregnancy, but that most be done within the first 24 hours to have the best results and within 5 days to still be somewhat effective at prevention.
