Manufacturer: Purdue Pharma LP National Drug Code (NDC): 59011-0440 If this doesn't match your pill, I hope it can at least help to narrow down your search! ## cant see any thing on other side, but the 40 is in dark numbers and its not ingraved in the pill itself ## What is this small round oval like pill yellowish in color marked 40 in black lettering on one side, there is about 6 of them and none of them say anything on other side

I found several small, round, orange pills in the cabinet under my sink today. The letters "OP" are printed on one side, and the number "40" is printed on the other side. A friend said they were a generic oxycontin pill that was time released. Is this accurate? What is the proper dosage for this medication? Thank you for your help. ## This is not a generic, since there isn't a generic for Oxycontin, this is the name brand and they are 40mg tablets, the ones with the OP marking are the new formulation that has been made to help prevent abuse. Would like to know what kind of pill this is. ## Based on my research, I've only come across one pill that actually closely resembles your description of the pill. The one I found is a 400mg Acyclovir tablet, used for treating herpes simplex. It's a white oblong-shaped tablet with a large capital "A" that has a partial vertical line (like this "/") going through the side of it... and right next to the letter A is the following set of numbers "5306"; no markings on the backside. For verification, the manufacturer is reported to be Apotex and the tablet itself carries a National Drug Code of 60505-5306. Does this sound like it could be a possible match?

plain bright pink capsule with no letters or numbers ## The only way a capsule with no markings could contain 40mgs of Hydrocodone was if it was specially ordered by a doctor and put together by a compounding pharmacy, So, yes, as a capsule, it is possible. In tablets, Hydrocodone is only available in a max of 10mgs and they would all have markings on them. I have found a 'bank money' bag in my sons' room containing approximately 40+ tablets. They are all small yellow pills. Some have the markings B|L on one side and the number 7 or 4 on the other. The other pills are blank on one side and a cross on the other side. Marked as if they are in quarters with one line going down and the other line going across. Can anyone please help me?
