Neck/ back pain won't let me sleep its so bad. Have not had any pain meds for 3 weeks and that was only 20 5/325s. Help Please as AZ is a challenge these days ## Hello, Mat! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require pain medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist. Do you have a PCP that could refer you to someone? If so, that would most likely be the easiest way of finding the help you need. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ...

Hi. I take Fioricet w codeine approx once a day to relieve major headaches. It is the ONLY thing that helps. Walgreens just told me it is being discontinued and I am a bit panicked as it is a life changer for me. Regular Fioricet doesn't really help. Any suggestions on what I can try? Next visit with my Neurologist may ask him to get each ingredient separately if I have too. Thanks! ## Hello, Were you ever able to find out why that particular product was being discontinued? I know that you mentioned possibly going the route of getting each ingredient separately from your neurologist, but, if it was discontinued for a good reason (which it probably was), then I would definitely encourage you to try and find out why, before even considering taking it again; at least for your own safet... ...

I am using Fentanyl 25mg patch for chronic back pain. Is it ok to use nucynta ER 50mg for breakthrough pain? ## Has your doctor prescribed them both? It is unusual to prescribe 2 time released medications, together. My son recently started taking Focalin. He is 7 and is having a hard time swallowing the pill (not capsule). Is it still effective when crushed and put in applesause? ## Yes. It works crushed and mixed in pudding, too! ## Does 'Foculin' come in a long-acting form? Like Concerta ## Focalin XR works well for my son, and lasts about 9 hours. If he needs to do homework or do serious sports in the evening or has a playdate in the evening, I use focalin in the mid to late afternoon. ## You can also try Focalin in Oatmel or grits..... Anything with thicker texture to it! ## This will actually depend if he is on the regular Focalin or the XR. If he is on the XR which is an extended time release version, it should not be crushed or broken, that will negate the time released effect and he... ...
