Found oval shaped pink caplet with 5114and v below it. Is it darvocet or vitamini ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? Yes, this is an old Darvocet tablet, which contains 100mgs of Propoxyphene and 650mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You should also be aware that this medication has been removed from the market, due to the fact it was found to carry a high risk of cardiac dangers, so the best thing to do would be to dispose of it. Is there anything else I can help with?

This is a generic for Tylenol. It's not a narcotic and can be sold over the counter. ## Hi Sandy - The closest thing I can find to the pill which you are describing is Latuda 40mg, NDC code 51148-001. It's round and white with the imprint L over 40. Is this what you have? If not, then it could be possible that a similar pill exists for generic Acetaminophen since over the counter drugs don't always have to carry unique imprints the way that prescription medications do.

need to know what this is ## FOUND THIS DRUG IN MY DAUGHTERS ROOM ## Well, I am sorry to say that is these were not prescribed for her by a doctor, this is definitely NOT something she should be messing around with. This is a generc version of the mild narcotic pain killer Darvocet. It contains Propoxyphene 100mgs and 650mgs of Acetaminophen. It is the mildest narcotic you can get, but still a narcotic nonetheless. Therefore it carries the possibility of dangerous side effects and addiction. On top of that, Propoxyphene had been found to be a cardiotoxic agent, so it should never be used without a doctor's approval and supervision. The next question, of course, is whether or not your daughter knows what it is. Since most laymen don't know how to identify drugs, they have no clue...

I am wondering as far as strength and pain relief when comparing darvocet 5114 V to lorcet 10/650 as far as ingredients and side effects mainly ingredients ## The Darvocet is a much milder narcotic, it contains 650mgs of Acetaminophen and 100mgs of Propoxyphene, which is the mildest available. The Lorcet contains the Acetaminophen with Hydrocodone, which is much stronger. They are both narcotics, so the side effects are about the same and can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. You can read more about them here: Do you have any other questions?
