can i split one in half or quarter ## No, it is not safe to cut and divide these tablets. This is a 30mg Oxycontin tablet, which contains the narcotic Oxycodone in a time released formulation. Cutting or breaking the tablet could result in your getting too much of the medication, at once, which could result in overdose. The new formulation is supposed to help prevent this, but the danger is always there. If you need a lower dosage, you should speak to your doctor about prescribing it in a lower dose or different formulation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It is only safe to cut an oxycontin (op) inhalf if it is a 20mg or less cause cause the most a person should intake of instance release is 10mg unless said different from.doctor... due to case of overdose.. The L374 oblong white pill is generic Excedrin Migraine. I don't understand why everyone has problems looking up drugs. (And by the way, take it from an addict - you shouldn't use, hydrocodone, or any opiates or drugs at all as these can easily cause your heart to stop. Get sober and be somebody that gives back to the world). ## @RockieAnn, Thanks for taking the time to share that pill information. And just to confirm for anyone else who might be reading, this pill is in fact a generic Excedrin, containing: Acetaminophen 250 mg + Aspirin 250 mg + Caffeine mg (NDC 0113-0374). NOT Hydrocodone. I realize with a lot of people posting for help on identifying something, they don't always know what to type in a search field and may be thinking that it's just easier for someone ...

My mother takes losartan 25 mg, but her last Rx was filled with a white round pill, with a D on one side and 572 on the other side. She said it gives her a severe headache. Could this be an Rx filling error? ## The pill with a logo and the number 572 on the opposite side does contain 25mgs of Losartan, an ARB that is commonly used to help control high blood pressure. Has her blood pressure been checked, since she started taking these tablets? There can be differences in generic medications, the FDA does allow them to differ in the active ingredient by as much as plus or minus 20%, they consider this an acceptable therapeutic window. For most people, the difference has no effect, but some people are very sensitive to medications and can suffer problems with the slightest fluctuation of t...

Are there any tricks to get the insurance company to authorize opana when the 2 other medications that they cover are giving me way to many debilitating side effects . My pain doc switched me to opana or OxyContin so I'd get pain relief without sedation, itching , rashes and vomiting . I've tried OxyContin and I had none of those side effects. My doctor just sent in the letter of medical necessity and if it gets denied I'd like to know what are things that they look for specifically and things they consider there to be cause to approve the request and authorize it? The doc told me he only wrote two Med codes bc the form only had space for that . Uuggghhh- that frustrated me bc I just had surg and I really wanted this to go through and FAST !! Now I'm wondering if it's n

Do they make a 60mg opana now or do they give you two 30s at a time? Someone please bye very helpful!! ## Opana is only available in a maximum of 40mgs. And, except in extreme cases such as someone having terminal cancer pain, no a doctor would not be able to prescribe that much. Learn more Opana details here. Under the new regulations, anyone else requiring this medication for pain can only receive the maximum available dosage, the maximum number of recommended times per day…. and even if a doctor did try to write for 2 of the 30mg tablets, no pharmacy would fill it. As I said, the only exceptions to the new regulations are those in severe pain from terminal illness. This medication is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, s...

What is the different OXYCOTIN 80 MG O/C & OXA FORTE 50 MG. ## IS THE SAME EFECT BETWEN OXYCONTIN O/C 80 MG AND OXA FORTE 50 MG.? ## Oxycontin contains the opiate Oxycodone in a time released formulation, while Oxa Forte contains Codeine, and Diclofenac, so the latter couples an opiate with a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Both carry the risk of being habit forming, but the Codeine is much milder than the Oxycodone. They may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and constipation. Thus, while they are both opiates used to alleviate pain, they are not equivalent, because the Oxycontin is much stronger Is there anything else I can help with?

small round white ## What’s a small round pill marked 485 on one side blank on other ## Hello, I wasn't able to find anything that exactly matches your description but I was able to find a Claritin 10mg pill that has a 458 imprint but from the description the NIH gives it should also have the word Claritin on it somewhere. Is it possible that the pill is worn and that the word Claritin is somewhere on the opposite side? Here is a picture of what the Claritin pill looks like, it's so light and the imprint is already hard to read as is that's why I'm asking. Is this the pill that you are referring to?

My husband has been violently ill for hours. He got a text from someone asking if he was "good with those p 10s". I asked, but he doesn't admit to taking anything. I'm worried, because this has been going on for 12 hours now. Any ideas what he could have taken?? ## I can't find any pills listed with a P 10 marking on them. However, some people use that as a form of street slang to refer to the new formulation of Oxycontin, because the new markings on them use the letters OP and the 10 would refer to the 10mg dosage. They often refer to the original formulation as C's, because they had an OC on the tablets. If it has lasted around 12 hours or so, that would also make sense, because it is a time released formulation of the narcotic Oxycodone and the new tablets wit...
