I have pills that are 14 months old,are they safe to take? Can not get to a doctor for a new prescription. ## Being that the pill is over a year old, I'm assuming it is passed its expiration date. There is still a high likelihood that it lost some of its potency and may be ineffective to the point where it could harm your body. I would recommend contacting your local pharmacy or doctor to assess if the quality of the drug still remains. T...

please identify a pill: oval shape, pink in color & the # 55 on it. ## Hi Jingles, Based on the description provided, I located a pink oval pill imprinted with "S 5" on one side and blank on the other. The pill itself is identified as a 20mg Simvastatin tablet, prescribed for use in treating high cholesterol. For further verification, the manufacturer is reported to be Accord Healthcare. I hope this helps! Please post back if you still think it could be something else.
