I believe the Ig 23 should not be labeled as 'Xanax' as it is highly misleading. There is no way it can be considered a Xanax. The introduction of these new drug brands is extremely confusing, particularly for older individuals. It's no surprise that my dad double-checks the markings on his Xanax pills! ## Hello, Missyboo! How are you? The blue, oval tablet with the marking IG 213 is manufactured by Camber Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 50mgs of Sertraline, which is an SSRI antidepressant. So, it is not a Xanax, nor is it a related medication in the same class and it does not work the same. Inactive Ingredients: - Dibasic Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate - Hydroxypropyl Cellulose - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Magnesium Stearate - Sodium Starch Glycolate Type a ...

The pill imprint IG 213 is in fact 50mgs of Sertraline. I actually had my script filled with those and thought they were "purple footballs" (Xanax), but I looked a little closer and noticed that the numbers weren't normal. So I looked them up online as well and found out to my dismay that Sertraline 50mg is a generic of Zoloft used for depression. Of course, it had me fooled. ## Correct, this tablet contains Sertraline 50 mg (NDC 31722-0213). Inactive Ingredients: - Dibasic Calcium Phosphate Dihydrate - Hydroxypropyl Cellulose - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Magnesium Stearate - Sodium Starch Glycolate Type a Potato - Titanium Dioxide - Hypromellose 2910 (3 Mpa.s) - Hypromellose 2910 (6 Mpa.s) - Polyethylene Glycol 400 - Polysorbate 80 - Fd&c Blue No. 2 Ref: DailyMed

Not sure if this was asked but whats the difference between IG 213 and xanax? ## Hi Mimi, The pill you're describing marked IG 213, contains 50mgs of Sertraline hydrochloride. The main difference I see here is that Sertraline is classified as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). This type of medication is supposed to work by increasing the amount of serotonin in your brain, in order to help maintain an even mental balance. Alprazolam (Xanax) on the other hand, is classified as a benzodiazepine, which is said to work by decreasing abnormal excitement in the brain. Even though both meds are in different drug classes, I have also heard of people using anxiety and depression meds interchangeably for either type of case. I guess it all comes down to what you and your doctor d...

Can i know all the colors of a xanax and there millgrams ## The oval blue pill in description is Sertraline Hcl (50 mg). The correct marking is found to be "IG" 213 as opposed to "LG" 213. Sertraline is an antidepressant primarily used to treat major depression, obsessive compulsive, panic, and social anxiety disorders. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... As far as xanax pills go, the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so pill colors can change overnight and we wouldn't necessarily know it, unless you're looking for a specific brand and dosage. I've personally seen xanax pills (non generic) range in doses from 0.5mg to 3mg, and everything in between that. Does anyone else have inf...

Hi, trying to find out why I hace hives. I think my sertraline 50mg , blue, oblong with 50mg on one side and G4900 on the other side is causing the hives. I wad getting tan pills from Oak Forest Healthcare Facility recently switched to Walgreens. The blue pills also taste terrible.I didnt have bad taste with the other. ## Hello, Wendy! How are you? First, if you're tasting them, then you aren't taking them properly. They actually should be placed in your mouth so far back that you're just short of gagging and then swallowed immediately with a full 8 ounce glass of water. As to the hives, have you contacted your doctor? That would be the best thing to do, so they can help you determine the cause and a proper remedy.
