Can my pain management doctor count pills from my other doctors with the same hospital or will he count just the ones he prescribed? ## Hello, Jeff! How are you? It depends on the type of agreement you have with your PM doctor. Some stipulate that they can monitor all medication intake, especially of controlled substances, but some don't. Do you remember any of the details of your treatment contract? ## If you do indeed have a pain control arrangement with your doctor (I do), you should have a copy. Mine stipulates all pain meds must come from my doctor only and if another doctor prescribes (for instance I had surgery recently) I need to notify my pain control doctor .. which I did. Anyone who needs to take opiates/opiods on a regular basis to treat their pain should be monitored cl...

Last month I got called in for a pill count. I was 20 pills short due to the weather changing and my fibro causing me so much pain. I have an appt today to get a refill. What's gonna happen ## @babygirl2474, Sorry to hear about your fibromyalgia pain. I feel for you, as I happen to know a few people dealing with that who can't seem to find a lasting solution to managing the pain and discomfort associated with it. Concerning your pill count, the best thing to do in my opinion is to just be sincere and honest about what you felt like you had to do in order to control peaking levels of pain. However, in many similar stories I've read here, if you don't have the amount the doctor is looking for, they've been known to either give out a warning, make false assumptions abou...

Is anyone living in Alabama getting pill cuts of methadone? My doctor told me it was because of Governor Bentley signing in new opiate restriction for all pain doctors. (Not Clinics). Is anyone else going through this pill cut? I have never failed a drug panel nor have any of my pill counts been off. I know I have done nothing wrong so I just wanted to see if anyone else is being cut also... (I was wondering if maybe my doctor may have got in trouble and this is why but I don't know)? ## Hello, Sami! How are you? It is actually a directive that was issued by the DEA and applies all over the U.S. They have requested that everyone be put on no more than the equivalent of 120mgs of Morphine a day and some states have lowered it even further to no more than the equivalent of 100mgs of M...

i have been on Xanax for 30 years. Now my doctor moved and I'm seeing one in KS who calls me in randomly for a U/A!! I have never been in any trouble and I'm 51, not going to be treated like I'm on parol. ## Hello, Greg! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems that you're experiencing. However, since Xanax is a controlled substance that is frequently abused, doctors do have to be very careful about prescribing it and most are going to make you do similar things, in order to continue having it prescribed. Many do random pill counts, too. This medication is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and irritability, this medication also carries the risk of being habit forming. ...

I have medicare humana regional ppo. It's good for va. and north carolina. ## I am from North Carolina myself and have issues trying to find a good pain management doctor. Hi. I have been taking oxy 15's four times a day for the past five years. I have gone through two doctors, as the constant drug testing and pill counts have resulted in unfair dismissals from wonderful physicians who had no choice, as it was hospital policy. I am so tired of being treated like a drug seeker. I suffer from degenerative arthritis in my hips, bulging discs in lumbar spine, fibromyalgia, sacroiliac joint dysfunction as well as depression and panic disorder. I have not had any relief from pain in over 10 months. I have two young children and I can barely provide for their basic care and needs. It is so depressing and sad, when I can function normally if medicated appropriately. Someone please help me find a doctor or give me some advice. I cannot hold down a job or be ac...

My father could not do cheomo due to low white blood cell count, is there something that he can take to build it back up ## I'm no doctor but I heard of a drug released by Amgen called Neupogen which is supposed to stimulate the production of white blood cells. Your doctor should have more information on this and other possible treatments. Good luck! Amgen site info: ## Hello Ty, Based on my research, low white blood cell counts are indicative of a suppressed immune system. My research tell me that the diet can play a huge role in keeping the immune system strong and the white blood cell count at a healthy level. If possible, maybe you can implement more fresh fruits and vegetables into your fathers diet (juicing is a great way to do this)- whatever is easiest for him. Carrots as w...

I'm taking levothyroxine 75 mcg since about 10 years and now my platelets counts are lower than normal since about 3 years. I just read that this medication can be the cause. I never had symptoms of thyroid problems, the doctors prescribe the medication after having my check up blood test. Beside that I am very healthy, eat well, not overweight and exercise regulary. Do you think there is a way to get out of this medicine and go with something natural. I hate taking pills! ## If you don't have a thyroid problem, why are you taking it? I'm afraid that I'm confused on this. It is never a good idea to take a medication that you don't really need. But no, I've not found such a thing listed among the detailed side effects for this medication. They usually include naus...

My esnonfilia count in the blood in the latest laboratory test has been indicated as . The Doctor concerned prescribed use of banocide forte tablets for 21 days at rate of 3 per day. Kindly advise whether banocide forte tablets are used for the treatment of esnofilia counts in the blood. ## Banocide Forte contains the active ingredient Diethylcarbamazine and it is used to treat parasitosis, which can cause Eosinophilia. So yes, it can help if it has been caused by parasitosis. Are there any other questions I can help with? ## My eosinophil count is 30%. How long should I take banoside forte tab and for how many weeks? Also at what dose?

This month I started Topamax as the first step in switching from oher seizure meds to one med for neg. weight loss and better liver counts. I progressed 25mg up by the week and have reached 50mg in mnring and at night. I feel my ADHD is off the charts, concentration is in the toilet, and I occasionally get the shakes where I feel weak. Are these common extremes common. I read the side efects and noticed them, but it seems like I'm struggling. And why weak and shaky occasionally?? Any ideas. My fingertips go cold even with potasium. I have pinpoint red spots like a reaction of some sort. I'm on xarelto for clots found in my lungs n leg from cast n immobility... Can I take benadryl if on xarelto? ## Those could be due to bleeding, which Xarelto has been known to cause, as listed by the FDA, along with nausea, headache and easy bruising. Thus, before taking anything else to try to treat it, it would be best to have this checked out by your doctor to discover the cause. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Been on Xarelto (for atrial fib) for a year. I get occasional bright red bleeding after urination. I would like to know if there are any sulfa product in this medication? I am diabetic and have nerve damage in feet and Neurontin does not work for me. ## I am also allergic to sulfa products and was just placed on Lyrica for fibromyalagia. Since my doctor knows about my allergy, I assume there is no sulfa in this product. ## There is a sulfate in the name brand of this, sodium lauryl sulfate, not sure if that counts for your allergy or what, as I am not familiar with it. Here is a page that lists all the ingredients for the name brand: Lyrica Ingredients Since the inactives can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, you would need to check the ingredients for any of these that you are prescribed. Pain management for over 13 years. Saw an RN, not a pain doctor for some reason, I don't know why. In what cases will a pain management doctor dismiss you.do they give you any chances? ## Hello, Miche 4! How are you? I really depends on the pain management doctor, however, if you are seeing one, you will most likely have to sign a treatment contract, which will lay out the specifics for you. Some of them require that you not take pain medications from any other doctor for any reason, some require regular sampling to prove you're taking medications as prescribed. Any violation could result in your being dismissed, without notice. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## In addition to not allowing another dr to rx you meds for pain and random or routine drug panels they may also have pill counts. They will call you and give you a few hrs to get to the office with your meds, I...
