Unexplained Weight Loss
Thyroids checked out, no explanation for weight loss; over 15 lbs in less than 5 months. Muscles seem to be deteriorating, very weak. Any ideas, anyone? ## Hi Lillianna, There could be many factors that might be attributing to this unexplained weight loss. In the past 5 months, you had to have done something/anything differently to experience such a drastic change in weight without you noticing/trying. - What's your diet like? Are you eating regular meals throughout the day and "suddenly" changed your eating habits or overall caloric intake? - Have you been exercising regularly? - Have you been taking any new medications or supplements? - Are you experiencing more stress on a daily basis than what your body is comfortable with? Those are just some of the things I can think o... ...

If it has been caused by the medication, it could be a serious side effect, which requires medical attention. ...

My experience with Lyrica
My spell check is on the blink so please excuse any errors! I had surgery In Sept of 2005 on my lower leg, resulting in nerve trauma and extreme stabbing hot and cold pain, in that area. It was almost impossible to walk. I had no relief from standard painkillers such as Vicoden and Ibuprofen. Lyrica was prescribed at 25 mg and provided incredible relief within 48 hours. It was increased slowly to 150 mg over one month. I am now- in Jan of 2007, slowly decreasing the medicine over a one month period, with good success so far. I would like some input or info on the side efects or any withdrawl issues. Also, how long does it take to get out of the system? My experience in total has been very favorable. I did have definite challenges with memory, and loosing my place in discussions with peo... ...

I am taking rosuvas10, Olmy D20, Remylin d,vernace acetyl L carnitine and AMIT 10 for neck shoulder pain. Please advise me whether any madicine needed for it. ## That is elevated, but the proper answer on whether it requires any treatment depends on what's causing it. It may just be due to one, or more of your medications and doesn't necessarily mean permanent liver damage. Learn more liver function details here. Have you been scheduled for another blood test in a month or so? Usually, it would require several readings to definitively show that something is wrong and for action to be required. ...

Westward 787 but-ace-caf 50-325-40
I checked three pharmacies and none carry butalbital manufactured by westward. I am told it is on back order with no specific date. Is it discontinued? Also, I was given MIA110 as substitute but it doesn't work as well. Any reason why that would be? ## Hi Mary, According to Medscape, Butalbital has been discontinued. However, I don't know which manufacturer it's referring to and I have yet to come across any other specific details that support this claim. You could try contacting Westward Pharmaceuticals directly if you're looking to hear it straight from the source. Their Customer Service can be reached at: 1-800-631-2174 Regarding MIA 110, it does contain Acetaminophen + Butalbital + Caffeine in the same listed dosages as Westward 787. So it could just be that you'... ...

I am Diabetic, and used to get a lot of very painful Cramps, mainly at nights. 2-3 per night, 4 -5 times a week. I'd tried most things, but with little effect. So I discovered that what would help was Potassium and Magnesium, as it feeds the Muscles. Tried an effervencent pill, and that gave me violant diarrhoea. (Aquilea). Then I was told to try half a Banana a day. I have now been 95% free of Cramps for 3 years. Great. ## Very glad you found something that helped you. Yes, the potassium is especially important to our muscle health and, if you are low in it, it will often cause bad muscle cramping. However, too much of it can also be dangerous, so please make sure you don't overdo it. There is a blood test your doctor can do to check the level for you. I always drop low, for re... ...

round pink scored one side letter k inside triangle on other
Small pink round with letter k inside a triangle one side and scored on other ## I'm sorry, but so far I haven't been able to find anything that matches this in any of the prescription drug databases that I've checked. This leads me to believe that it's most likely some type of over the counter product. Where did you find it? Some products are regional, so knowing a general location may help to narrow it down. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## I would never say for certain, but Im betting it is not only a foreign, (south american pharm-manufacturer) and fits with Ativan 2 mg descriptor. I have seen it before. But the color can change from time to time. Is this pill scored, one side, round, small, with a triangle and a K inside the triangle? How would you describ... ...

Caraco xanax
Hi i just picked up my percription for zanex at a different pharmacy and they have a imprint of 1 1 on it i was wondering if anybody had anything to say about this type of brand. ## Caraco pharmaceuticals does make the generic Xanax (a.k.a Alprazolam). The specific imprint you have listed describes the generic 2 mg tablets. It seems that they only started making this in the past 5 years or so, but I could be wrong. There is another discussion thread where people are talking about this exact pill in more detail. Check posts # 19, 20, and 25 over there too. Xanax Alprazolam Scored White With Only "11" Imprint. Hope this helps! ...

How are you? Have your blood sugar levels been out of control? Some people do require multiple medications with repeated dosing to get theirs under control.
