Lo Loestrin Fe, need to start second pack, no period yet
Hi all, I just had a few questions about my birth control. I started taking Lo Loestrin Fe a month ago, and my gyno directed me to start with the white pill on the first day of my period and go through the two white, two brown, and through the blue. I finished my last blue pill yesterday, and no sign of period yet. I was spotting randomly during the month of taking the pills which is normal according to side effects and I have had unprotected intercourse twice in the month (yes he did come in me, I know, not smart) well after the first week of taking the pills. I don't think I'm pregnant only because I'm not showing any signs, (but I will take a test and check!!) but I am showing signs of my period, which should be coming today or tonight. So my question is, if my period doe... ...

I read somewhere that Ranbaxy brand lorazepam 2 mg tablets contain 250 mg of terbinafine. Is this true? Is there any way to find out exactly what is in a medication which is not listed? I need to know due to sensitivity issues with many medications. ## Hello, Summer! How are you? No, that is not true. Lorazepam is the only active ingredient in them. And yes, you can find listings of inactive ingredients. I can check for you, if you'd like. Can you please post back with the markings on the pills in question? Thank you! ...

Oxycodone By Vicodone
I would like to see pictures of all mg. oxycodone tablets ## Since Oxycodone is available in 3 different formulations, the instant release, the regular release and the time released and 2 of those are available as generics, the instant and the regular release, there are far too many tablets available on the market for anyone to be able to post pictures of all of them for you. However, if you have a pill that you are trying to identify, if you post back with the markings on it, I will gladly check for you to see confirm what it contains. Learn more Oxycodone details here. I am looking for help with a perscription addiction. I have head that methadone has help many people get off perscription pill. Don't know where in my area to go. ## For addiction treatment, Methadone must be administered in a clinical setting by those who are specially trained in its use for such. General practitioners are not allowed to prescribe it for that. Learn more Methadone details here. The Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center does Methadone treatment, you can contact them by calling 845-563-8000 Suboxone would also be an alternative, since rather than requiring lifetime maintenance, it actually enables most people to become completely drug free. Generic Kadian
I went to a new Pharmacy today to get my monthly Kadian 50mg filled. They said they had the generic and would I like that (Morphine SULFATE ER 50mg). I said sure, but when I looked at the pills, they were exactly the same color, shape, and markings as the name brand Kadian. Does anybody know what the new generic is actually suppose to look like? Why would a drug company make a generic to look exactly like the name brand? How would the Pharmacists tell them apart? ## What are the markings on the tablets? It is possible that you've been receiving a generic all along, but I can't provide you with any information, without knowing the markings on the tablets. If you can post back with this information, I'll gladly check for you. Learn more Morphine information here. ## I don'... ...

Expired 6 months past expiration date Doxytet
hi i went to the clinic yesterday with a problem of having a discharge than the nurse gave me doxytet only to find when i got home that the pills expired in July 2013 i only took two pills will i any side effects in my body? ## Sorry to hear about your experience with getting older medication. With most types of drugs, the only thing you'd have to be concerned about it is if it lost any potency. However, when it comes to specific types of antibiotics (namely those associated with tetracycline, such as Doxytet/Doxytetracycline), it can become toxic after the expiration date. I honestly wouldn't recommend taking any and if possible go and try to get your money back from the clinic. It's a good thing you checked first before taking the full prescription, because you never know ... ...

thyroxine 25mcg
i have brought some thyroxine off the internet, they came from india, and they are like a funny shape and they have 25 printed on them, they are pure white.. how do i know if these are genuine pills? and do they make you lose weight? ## From a foreign source and with just that vague imprint, there is really no way to know for sure what you received. It could be anything. This is one of the hazards of ordering from foreign pharmacies that are not regulated by the U.S. FDA. In addition, Thyroxine is not considered safe to be used as a weight loss drug, it is actually only approved and intended to treat Thyroid conditions and since those levels have to be carefully monitored, the blood levels of your Thyroid hormones have to be checked on a regular basis. Have you tried speaking to your do... ...

lisinopril & grapefruit?
Are there food restrictions such as grapefruit when taking lisinopril? ## can eating grapefruit or juice react with this drug? ## I have checked several sources and there is nothing listed about there being a problem combining the two. ## I'm confused, I've read several different things about drug interactions with lisinopril. My concern is dieutics, and possassium. Can you still take them when taking Lisinopril? ## I worked in health care for years & was never told of an interaction. My husband LOVES grapefruit but has started taking Lisinopril & had severe pains, shortness of breath, & spikeing blood pressure, sweating & vomiting. We had to rush him to the urgent care center near his work when he had an episode & they gave him 2 nitro pills under his tongue... ...

Cymbalta Absorption in Gastric Bypass
I had a gastric bypass in 2001. I am on a higher dose of Cymbalta. Does anyone know if the absorption of this medication altered by gastric bypass? ## Most medications are, but to be certain, I would recommend checking with your doctor or pharmacist, they will be the only ones who can give you a definite answer on that in relation to the dosage you are on. ## I had Gastric bypass some years ago. There doesn't seem to be any difference. ## I had RNY surgery in 2003. It seems I take higher dosages of ANYTHING, due to the surgery. When (blood) lithium levels were tested, and medication was supposedly a theraputic dosage, I had much lower levels than the norm. I use a pill sorter and NEVER miss doses, so go figure. ## I had RNY in 2006. I don't know about Cymbalta, but my surgeon sa... ...

How are you? Adding potassium is often necessary when someone is taking this medication, since the Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that removes excess fluid from the body. You can learn more Triamterene details here and you can learn more Hydrochlorothiazide details here. The most common side effects are nausea, dizziness, headache and dehydration. my husband and i had protected intercourse on april 5,2014, we used premiere condom. through out the intercourse we heard a pop but didn't mind it. After intercourse i always ask him to check if the condom is broken or what. and then that's when we discovered that the condom was empty even if he came. and it was all with me. this happened during my fertile day. the first day of my last cycle was march 18. i have a 34 day regular cycle. my supposed period was april 21,2014. i am now 2 days late. at 5 am in the morning, my bf and i ran to the nearest mercury drug but it was still closed, we went to south star drug but they didn't know what nordette is/morning after pill. we went to the hospital and they said the obgyn was coming in at 11 am still. and then we waited the docoto... ...

pot chlor er
I have potassium level of 3.3 and was prescribed Pot Chlor Er(Klor-Con M20)Tb 20Meq but I have Irritable bowel syndrome and Gerd's and the medicine appears to be irritative to the stomach and esophagus. In addition I cannot swallow such a big thick pill. Is there a substitute which is liquid or powder? ## There are other potassium supplements available over the counter, but to be equivalent to this, you'd have to take a lot of them and the risk of them being irritating to your gastric system will still be there. That can actually be mitigated by making sure to take it with food, rather than on an empty stomach and will a full glass of water. However, if you really can't swallow it, then check with your doctor, they may have some other idea that could help. Are there any othe... ...

Large Red And White Capsule No Imprint
I recently found a baggy of of large red & white capsules with no imprint hidden in my teens closet. There were an even 90 capsules in the bag. He is out of town with a friend this week and we would like to identify before confronting him. My search on pill identifyer sites reveals nothing as most pharma meds must have a identifyer number, etc. These are just large red & white capsules. I want to believe they are some form of supplement he may be using for weight or sports training but identifying supplements appears impossible. The fact that there are exactly 90 capsules also leads me toward a supplement. Is there any local way to have the contents checked in a lab? Local law? Pharmacist? ## If you find a lab nearby and pay them to test them, that would probably be your only so... ...

What specialists treat the WHOLE patient?
My mom's being treated by several different docs for various problems--endocrinologist, diabetes spec, cardiologist, etc. She takes almost 25 pills a day, as a result. None of her docs--her primary care doc included--seems to look at the entirity of her condition. I'm worried about drug interactions, etc. as she's always nauseous, doesn't have enough energy to get out of bed most days, etc. Is there some sort of specialist that will analyze the WHOLE patient, including diet/prescriptions/medical conditions/activity, etc, rather than just treating one element of her health? ## That really should be the job of her primary care doctor, does she have one? And is she getting them all filled at the same pharmacy? Because, if she is, they will automatically check for any possib... ...

fainting with abilify and cyproheptadine or remeron and cyproheptadine
Would the combination of either of these medications cause fainting? I now take 5 mg of Abilify per day. I took my last pill of 100 mg fluconazole on yesterday ; also took a 3.50mg of remeron last night.. This morning I stared the 4mg of cyproheptadine. by the afternoon I fainted. I have not been eating as I should. I am very concerned now. I am now taken off of remeron, but will continue the Abilify and Cyproheptadine. ## Hi, Keanna! Sorry that you fainted. If you haven't been eating properly, that's the culprit you should probably look at first. If you're not eating properly and taking medications, especially the Abilify, which is a very strong one, then it tends to cause more pronounced side effects.
