Is the pill just used for pain ## Hi kelsey, Acetaminophen + Propoxyphene is intended to treat mild pain and has, in addition, anti-tussive and local anesthetic effects. I've also read that it can be used to treat osteoarthritis. However, It has been taken off the market in Europe and the US due to concerns of fatal overdoses and arrhythmias. what is this pill equivelant a? ## Well, since it was a generic for Darvocet, which contains 100mgs of Propoxyphene and 650mgs of Acetaminophen, there really isn't much it would be considered equivalent to. It is an extremely mild, opiate narcotic analgesic that was pulled from the market, when it was discovered that the risks it caused of cardiac dangers far outweighed the slight analgesic effects that it provided. How are you all doing? The tablet with the 93 890 marking contained 100mgs of Propoxyphene and 650mgs of Acetaminophen, it was a generic for Darvocet. You can see here in these details, that it was discontinued in 2010 due to the risk of overdose it caused, and the fact that it could cause cardiac dangers, so the risks were found to outweigh any possible benefits it might provide. It was very mild in its pain relieving effects, anyway, so it didn't help a lot of people. Are there any other questions?
