White oblong pill with a fancy E 12 and the back is blank ## Hi darlene, Does the letter "E" look anything like the logo Sandoz uses on their 500mg Etodolac tablet, imprinted with E 139? Just trying to get an idea of what to look for in comparison to this one. However Sandoz in particular is the only manufacturer I know of who uses a fancy E (almost appearing italic). So if this happens to fit your description for the type of "E" it is, I would encourage you to contact Sandoz directly at: 1-(800)-525-8747. This is the number to their customer support center who deals with product inquiries. Perhaps they may recognize your pill as being something they've made? Please post back if you hear back from them with any additional information on its identity!

How To Tell If Amox Clav 875 125 Pills Are Old. RX Just got looks crumbly ## Hi Wendy, Is this a prescription that you just got filled? It is possible that you were accidentally given a bad batch of pills. To my knowledge, new pills shouldn't be crumbly or look unkept. If you're unsure in the slightest, I would take the pills back to your pharmacy and share your concerns with them. I'm sure you aren't the only one that has had this happen. Please share your experience with the community if you find out what went wrong!

I have a big white pill that says amc and 825 125 ## Based on the description provided, I found your pill to be Amoxicillin + Clavulanate Potassium (875 mg - 125 mg). The correct marking is actually 875, instead of 825. This combination results in an antibiotic with an increased spectrum of action and restored efficacy against amoxicillin-resistant bacteria that produce -lactamase. I recently had a beignet cyst removed from my right breast. After the minor surgery I found a small lump and there was some soreness. I visited my doctor and he prescribed me amox tr k clv he explained that I may have contracted a n infection due to me wearing my bras earlier than I should have. I'm on the third day of using this antibiotic and the lump has grown noticeably larger and it looks as though it's almost coming to a head ( kind of like a pimple) I wanted to know if this was a cause of concern or if this may be normal in the healing process. ## Hello, Niquette! How are you? Did you mean a benign cyst? Why was it necessary to have it removed? That's usually not done unless they are large enough to be disfiguring or are causing severe pain. I'd suggest having you...

My 12 month old niece may have swallowed one of my grandmother's antibiotic pills. My sister and grandmother are both enroute the the emergency room with her, but we would like to know if this is severely harmful to her. ## What happened, when they arrived at this hospital? Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid is a generic for Augmentin, as you stated is an antibiotic. It is also used in children, but the dosage is usually lower, because it is based on their age and weight. It's most likely that the ER would keep an eye on a child this age, for awhile, to watch out for any possible symptoms of toxicity, such as nausea or extreme drowsiness, as well as watching for signs of an allergic reaction. is this good for a common head cold and or sinus infection? ## Gimiclav contains the active ingredients Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid, it is an antibiotic and, as such, is only helpful at treating infections. Thus, it can be used for a sinus infection, however, it has no effectiveness against the common cold, since that is caused by a virus. If you use it improperly, you also run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Do you have any other questions? ## Can you please tell me if this gimaclav is drug free? My doctor prescribed amox k clav 875/12 for an infection. It is causing me to have terrible diarrhea. I have taken it for 3 1/2 days. I don't feel bad except for the diarrhea. I'm also having a little trouble with breathing. I need to go to work and can't take the chance of running to the bathroom. ## Diarrhea can be a normal side effect of an antibiotic, such as this one, according to FDA reports, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and non-allergic skin rash. Have you tried taking anything to prevent the diarrhea? Your doctor should be able to let you know what is safe for you to take.

how long after med expires is it still good for ## Hello, Timmy! How are you? The best way to think of the expiration date would be to actually consider it a guaranteed full potency date. That is the maximum time that the manufacturer can guarantee that the drug will have its full beneficial effect under the most commonly used storage conditions. Past that date, the efficacy level starts to drop. Now, antibiotics can be more problematic than many other medications, because once they start to lose effectiveness, they may not properly eradicate infectious bacteria, which may result in antibiotic resistance, making things even worse. Additionally, if your doctor prescribed it to treat an infection and you didn't finish it all, as you are supposed to, then you are also running that same...

I have a tooth infection and was given Augmentin and the doctor knows I'm allergic to penicillin. I know there is some forms of penicillin you can take if allergic, would this be one of them? ## There is no Penicillin in this antibiotic, the FDA lists it as containing Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid and its most common side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Now, that isn't to say that you may not find other medications that you are also allergic to, but the only way to find out is by trying them. Is there anything else I can help with?
