i am experiencing extreme sedation on three seperate doses of 100 mg phenytoin sodium ext daily . should i try 2 doses for a while to limit the sedation. i have nocturnal seizures. should 200 mg be sufficient ## Have you consulted your doctor? patient takes two Triptyline per night together with Phenytoin sodium 100mg x 3- patient is hallucinating ## Has their doctor specifically prescribed them all to be taken at once like this? If they are suffering from hallucinations, it could be due to having to much of one, or both of these medications, at once and the dosages may need to be split up, so they are taken throughout the day. Has their doctor been consulted?

Is there valproic acid, divalproex sodium or phenytoin in clonazepam or lamotrigine, Tegretol, dilantin or phenobarbital ? Thank you for answer ## There is in the Phenytoin in the DIlantin, that's the active ingredient in it. The Tegretol contains the active ingredient Carbamazepine, it's an anticonvulsant. However, the others you listed, Clonazepam, Lamotrigine and Phenobarbital are all generics, so those are the active ingredients. Do you have a problem with the other medications?

I am using ENCORATE CHRONO 500mg, along with Clonazepam I.P. 0.25mg & Phenytoin sodium I.P. 100mg, for last four years, please tell me the side effects of these in my longterm future. ## I know this is a broad answer to your question, but no one can really honestly tell you how this drug is going to effect you in the future, as they are not you. Not even "you" know how it's going to effect you until you take it. Medications can and usually do affect everyone differently, whereas some people get great results, but there are others whom it inevitably just doesn't work for no matter how many they take or how often they take it. If you've been taking these medications over the past four years without any problems or side effects then in my opinion you should be fine....

As to the EC, from what I've found, it's used similar to ES, DS and etc. to designate that as being an extra strength dosage, rather than the standard prescribed amount. I got two attackes of seizures. One was about 4 years back and second was just two and half months back. Then I consult it with my DR in Delhi and after a lot tests it's become sure that I have seizures problem and he advised me few kind of medicine which the main is Epsolin ( phenytoin Sodium) 300 mg per night. I was wishing to recover my problems by starting if this peel but after around 4pm till late night I am getting very bad headache, even when I get the Epsolin tablets arround 6-7 pm still it doesn't works and my headache problem is still there until I sleep. Beside the headache Iam felling disgorge and Vomiting. So can you advise me is it the side effect if useing the Epsolin or some other issues it can in increase or decease the dose of Epsolin ? I have always used the same phamacy. For about a year the purple and white capsles contained a white pill but now they contain powder. The pharmacey said they had no clue.
