Benadryl is an antihistamine that's used to treat allergic reactions and mild cases of insomnia. You can learn more Benadryl details here and you can learn more Phenylephrine details here. But Phenylephrine is a decongestant, that can also be used to raise blood pressure and heart rate. As to how much to take, the over the counter dosing is normally one tablet every 6 hours, not to exceed 4 doses in 24 hours, but please check with your doctor and follow the instructions they provide. Along with the 325mgs of Acetaminophen already mentioned, it also contains 2mgs of Chlorpheniramine, 10mgs of Dextromethorphan and 5mgs of Phenylephrine, per tablet. The next guess, therefore, was that it is some sort of over-the-counter product.
