Pharmacy 29 Days

If my fill date is for Sunday the 29th but my pharmacy is closed on Sunday, can I get them the day before since they aren’t open on the fill date and I will run out? ## You should be able to, but it may also depend on what type of medication it is, many pharmacies are very strict about controlled substances, and require them to be filled the very day they are due. But it doesn't hurt to ask them to find out, the worst they can say is no. We've yet to have a pharmacy refuse, but our medications are mostly maintenance for blood pressure, heart issues, asthma, and epilepsy, so we don't have anything on the real controlled list, so to speak. When it comes to most other medications, which aren't controlled substances, you can usually get them filled several days early, ...

I just received my new norco prescription 120 pills and it has been 28 days not 30. Cvs always makes me wait the 30 days. Does anyone know of a pharmacy that will fill a few days early and takes insurance in the Pearland, League City, Pasadena, or Houston area? ## whoa, there are aloT OF PPL that cannot find a dr to prescribe this medication. Trying to fill at any pharmacy before 30 days will cause you to get red flagged. Last year i could pick up the script 28 days it being up to the pharmacist and insurance pays for 26-27 days but its up to the pharmacist. Now that that drug has been reclassified i personally wouldnt attemp to fill until 29 days (Maybe) idk know if id really try to not the state im in and its 2015 they reclassified that drug so just be careful and dont give them nosy ...

I have read all the posts and found that the best way i found is on the 29th of aug i talked to the pharmacy manager and explained the dilemma i was facing and she told me just to transfer all my other scripts to her location and then drop off my oxy script and methadone and that they would order them for me if they were out.Bam ten days later i got a call yesterday that they had my script filled and to come pick them up.Hope this helps those having problems getting their meds filled.Good luck and god bless. ## That was actually a very good idea, because pharmacies are usually allowed to be more lenient and helpful to their regular customers, so by transferring all of your prescriptions to them, you basically made yourself a regular customer. Can i refill a 30 day prescription in 29 days, of xanax? ## Yes ## @timbo, I see you posted this a while back. Did you end up having any success in getting it filled early? I'm not sure if there are any specific laws regarding this matter (especially with only 1 day to spare), but I do believe your doctor is the one who is supposed to give you prior authorization towards getting a refill by a certain date. Some pharmacists also like to give patients a hard time when it comes to medications that are commonly abused. But if you go in there and they throw up resistence, it doesn't seem like there's much you can do as a customer, except wait it out or take your business to another pharmacy. Pretty one-sided in that sense. But since xanax is a controlled substance, I'd be int...

Hello I’ve been taking oxycodone 30 for about 10 years and I went to walmart pharmacy for almost 8 years they started using another generic maker and I can’t take it it makes. Me sick so I now go to kroger they are so rude I’ve been with them for 2years almost today they said I couldn’t have my medication until the 29 th day my bottle has a different date than what they allowed me to pick up I was wondering if the insurance will refill shouldn’t they allow me to pick up it’s been 28 days ## No, they do not have to, they are allowed to make you wait until just before you are out, they can actually make you wait until the 30th day, if they wish. This is a controlled substance and the DEA has issued some very strict directives regarding such prescription...

I wear a 100 Mcg Fentyl patch every 48 hrs., and I get a 20 day supply. I love in New Jersey, how many days early can I refill my new script? OR what percentage of my prior script needs to be used before I can refill it? ## DEA database doesn't matter whether you have insurance or cash pay the standard is no more then the 28th day unless you have a new paper prescription that changes the directions or the quantity that's it 28 days is the earliest but you can expect it on the 29th or 30th day or later if you go into a pharmacy Acting like you're Jones in for an early script but with the DEA database there is no filling early -- nothing to do with whether or not insurance pays ! Insurance used to have a 75% rule DEA has a 28 day rule ! ## If you use CV and WAL you can And I d...

i went to my dr and had my prescription filled on febuary 29th. I have an appt to go to the dr on march 24th due to scheduling conflict. When should i drop off the prescription to be filled? I know that the 24th is too soon. That was the only day i could get in with my schedule, so getting it filled on that day isn't the question. I'm just wondering how that would work? ## Hello, Happy! How are you? You still need to wait until the 29th or 30th day to have it filled, according to your pharmacy's policy, as detailed by the NIH. Leap year adds one day, so you can likely get it filled one day sooner than the last date it was filled. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My prescription was filled on Feb.17 and now counting the two extra days for leap year I counted 30 supp...
