i am taking one in the day and one in the night dont feel good and confused and sick with diarrhea and constipation ## I too got diarrhea and very c on fused taking perphenazine 16mg at nite for depression I don't understand how it can help with depression if you take it at nite anyone have a aanswer to this. I also take it with 1200 mg gabapentin 300mg 2x daily 600mg at nite time I wake up shaky in the morning since I started on the perphenazine. My wife ran out of this pill. She was taking two at bed time. Now she is having bad dreams and says her body hurts all over. She had neither problem while taking them. The doctor told us they do not make this pill anymore. Is there substitute for it? My aunt was taken to the hospital and the doctor in the emergency room stopped her perphenazine/amitriptyline after taking it for 30 years. Now she is in a state that doctors cannot understand. I would like to know why I was prescribed this? ## This medication combines the antipsychotic medication Perphenazine with the antidepressant Amitriptyline. gernic perphen/amit BRANENAME FOR ## The two brand names I've been able to find for generic perphenazine + amitriptyline are "Etrafon" & "Triavil". However I'm not certain whether or not there are anymore than just those two on the market. Did you have any other questions or comments regarding this medication? Please post back if you do.
