Can an 8 year old take this dose if prescribed by his doctor for perioral dermatitis? ## If their doctor has prescribed it, then yes. This medication is an antibiotic and the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
