I started taking Mono linyah and on my second row of blue pills I started my period. My cramps are horrible, and tomorrow will make a week being on it and it's very heavy. I didn't even make it through the whole birth control prescription before starting my period. I didn't even make it to the sugar pills. Is this normal?! ## Hello, Kailee! How are you? Yes, that can be a normal side effect for the first 3 months, or so, while your body is getting used to this medication. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. However, if the bleeding becomes very heavy, or doesn't stop, after a few months, you should consult your doctor as this may not be the right medication for you. I have had a tubligation so.I don't believe I am pregnant. For 3 weeks I had a "brown" period but it was not enough to need anything more than.a pantie liner. 4 days ago I started what seemed to be my normal period but lighter than normal. I usually only have cramps for.the first 24 hours. This time I am having severe cramps and it hasn't gone away nor have I stopped bleeding ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The brown is usually old blood that hasn't been passed during prior cycles. With it going on for weeks and then the severe cramping, it sounds like you may have had a sudden hormonal shift. Have you consulted your doctor? You should do so to have things checked out.

Hi, I've been on xarelto for almost a month. I was admitted in the hospital for 2 days, after they found a blood clot(PE) in my lung. They don't know where it came from b/c I had no signs/symptoms at all. Until on the 4th of this month, I almost blacked out in my living room, and told my husband to take me to the ER. An that's what they found my PE.... this is my first clot ever, and I have to be on blood thinners for 6 months.....is it true u can get another clot while on thinners, or xarelto, in general? B/c I read people can get other clots while on thinners....???? Anyways...soon after being on the blood thinner, I got my period...I am only 33years old (34 in march) and usually my period lasts only 3-4 days. I've had my period for 3 weeks and one day. I have been on clopidogrel for 8 years after insertion of a stent. During this period I suffered the most painful cramping in my feet, legs and arms when performing moderate exercise. I recently visited my heart specialist who suggested that I may no longer need to take clopidogrel as a recent angiogram showed no significant blockages in my heart. I ceased taking clopidogrel and no longer suffer any cramping. The suffering I have endured for 8 years while on clopidogrel should be a warning to others. If I had been able to exercise without cramping it may well have been as beneficial as taking this drug. ## Hello, Bill! How are you doing? Wow! That's terrible, I'm glad you finally figured out what was causing it. Muscle aches and stiffness are known side effects, as listed by the...

I am not supposed to start my period for another week. I take it at the same time everytime except this last week i have been off on taking it regularly. should I be concerned? ## Those can be normal side effects of taking an oral contraceptive, especially if you've been taking it at irregular intervals. However, if you are concerned, there is no harm in discussing it with your doctor to be sure. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, acne, mood changes, and weight changes. Ref: Sprintec Information How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

I want my body back to normal. ## It can take a couple of months for your body to balance your hormones back out on its own and for things to return to normal, but if you go past 3 months without a period, you should consult your doctor. The FDA lists the other withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, weight changes and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi. I've been taking the tablets for the past 2 days and have taken it 2 days before expecting my cycle. But im still getting the cramps and feeling of discomfort you get before getting your period. Is this normal or is it not working and im still gonna get my period...? ## Taking this medication does not guarantee that you will delay your period. I am 19 been on sprinter for 5 months now. I recently tried to skip my period by not taking the white pills. It's been two weeks and I'm still bleeding. It's light but I was just wondering if it's normal? I still have a little pain like cramps but is not that bad. So I don't know if I should contact my doctor?! ## Hello, Gabriela! How are you? Yes, that can be normal, when you try to skip, it doesn't always work and the disruption of the hormonal balance can cause you to bleed longer than usual. It's generally not something to be concerned about, unless your doctor feels otherwise. The FDA lists other typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

It is possible to skip your periods altogether, while taking this contraceptive, it does happen to some women. However, in light of the discharge, if that's unusual for you, then you should consult your doctor, because it could be due to an infection. ## Hi. I started taking lo loestrin for the first time a few days before my period on jan 2 2014. I was still getting use to the Times i would take them so i took them at different times on some days I had intercourse on that same day not protected. I then had breakthrough bleeding within 6days after taking the pill, and stopped the pill immediatly on jan 8 2014 due to really painful cramps. The break through bleeding stopped on jan 13 2014. This is the second time I've had jadelle implants. No period but monthly cramps which are really bad. The last cramps I had were excruciating. Felt like I was in labor. My hair is thinning our and I've gained weight but my eating habits are the same. I'm having it taken out. The cramps are unbearable. ## Unfortunately, Sammy, those can be side effects of this medication, according to the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache, and spotting. I am sorry that the cramps were that bad. When are you having it removed? Has anyone else experienced this?

will cyclopam cures periods pain ## Hi, Nikki! Very sorry that you're suffering menstrual cramps, I've experienced it myself and I know how horrible they are and how miserable they can make you. As to this medication, the Dicycloverine and Paracetamol in it may help some, but Simethicone and Dimethicone are unnecessary and aren't going to do anything. Usually, they are best helped by taking a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, such as Ibuprofen or Naproxen. But none of these will actually 'cure' the problem. The only way to do that is to discover what's causing it and, unfortunately, most doctors just act like it's normal for them to happen and they don't do any testing to get to the root of the problem. However, PMS symptoms and menstrual cramping usually h...

How common is it for periods to be regular past the first year and then stop or space further out? I would have been expecting it around the one year mark... Slightly nervous about pregnancy. I bled for 8 weeks after the insertion of my IUD in April 2012. Then I have had pretty regular periods (within a week) since then. They last between 7-10 days. I think I might be overdue (maybe a week). However I am really bad at tracking it. I felt a really sharp pain a few days ago and yesterday felt cramping. I thought for SURE my period would start by today. The cramping felt exactly like period cramps. Yet, today the cramps are gone and still no period. ## Well, the one predictable thing about the Mirena IUD is its unpredictability. If you made it through a year and a half with regular periods...

my periods are irregular it takes 35/36 days it causes fear and anxiety in me please suggest me a tablet for getting my periods regularly with out any side affects ## If you're for something that doesn't have the side effects of prescription drugs, then the best thing I can recommend trying is Clary Sage Essential Oil. Clary sage is loaded with natural chemicals that the human body can easily modify to produce hormones. It supports hormone balance and for many women it relieves menstrual pain, PMS, and soreness as well as regulating timing and flow of otherwise irregular periods. You can read more about here: victoria-anisman-reiner.suite101.com/menstrual-cramps-a29684 NOTE: Clary sage can also help with any anxiety as well :) I hope this helps! ## i had irregular periods.
