Okay maybe you guys can help me with this I got my wisdom teeth removed today and they prescribed me percocets but it does not say how many mgs they are my mom went in to fill the prescription and used an old prescription bottle to fill it to save her 1 dollar lol so it does not say on the bottle. Is there any way to tell how many mgs they are ? ## @Josh, If you could please post back with any additional information on the color and shape of the pill as well what imprints or markings are on the tablet, that would be very helpful towards finding out the dosage. I don't know if your pill was made here in the states, but U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have unique letters or numbers (sometimes in addition to a logo of some kind) imprinted on the tablets or capsules so the...

Are there any vitamins or other OTC drugs that may resemble Percocet 7.5mg? I suspect there may have been a mix up from the pharmacy. ## It is very doubtful, since prescription medications are all required to have markings on manufactured tablets, or capsules, to enable their identification in case of emergency. In cases of overdose, or severe allergic reactions, where a person might be unresponsive, the markings enable emergency responders to be sure what the person took, so they can provide the best possible treatments. That said, what are the markings on the tablets you've received? Can you please post back with this information, and a description of the tablets? These details would enable someone to check the identification for you to ascertain whether or not you have received t...

my friend thought these capsules where percocet ## Hello, Ljean! How are you? Did you mean the capsules with the 0554 M 5mg marking on them? If so, they are manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 5mgs of Oxycodone, the same opiate that it is in Percocet, but without the Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I take 20mg percocet every 4 hours for back pain it works for me. I have been one it for two years. My doctor worrying about the tylonal in the percocet gave me 5 mg capsules of oxcodone, with no tylonal in it. I got this great idea to take the capsules apart and put four in one larger capsule so I would not have to carry so many around. I was carfull and measured out exactly four capsuls and than just took all of them apart and use my little measuring device to fill the capsules. This is not the smartest thing I have ever done. Does any one know if there are fillers in the 5mg oxcodone capsules agian no tylonal. So when I filled the capsules is everyone going to be the same medication or are the capsules going to be different. any help would be great. Thank you. ## sure it's going ...

long and round red andbeige capsules ## I cannot confirm what it is without an imprint, but if you know that is what the capsule is, I can tell you that would be 5mgs of instant release Oxycodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. (APAP is just the scientific name for it!) This would be a generic for Percocet and other similar drugs. ## Takeing oxycod apap 5-500 for one week is it addicted.

I have been on kadian for 2 yrs now. 150mg twice a day, plus percocet10/325 for breakthrough. works pretty well. Now I have to switch to morphine sulfate er TABLETS. I will be taking 160 mgs twice per day. Have not taken yet so I don't know if they will work as good as the kadian. What I was also wondering if the morphine sulfate er CAPSULES work better than the morphine sulfate er TABLETS. anyone try both to see if there was any difference thank you ## What you're switching to is just a generic for Kadian, it still contains a time released formulation of Morphine. As to which one works better, when I was taking it, I never noticed a different between the tablets or the capsules, but what is true for me may not be true for you. You really need to try it for yourself and see what...

tylex 750 ## l have recently experienced y hip infection (frozen hip) it has relieved the pain but puts me asleep l have taken the capsules 2x p/d for 2 days, they are white colored ## Tylox contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, however, it is not available in the US in a formulation that contains 750mgs of anything. To get this dosage, you would have to switch to Percocet. This is a narcotic pain reliever, some of the most common side effects include: drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth and constipation. ## what is in Tylex 750, I was told it was comparable to vicodin???? ## what is tylex 500 for and what is a safe dosage? ## Tylex 750 - Is the same thing as percocet? ## I am from the U.S., and am currently in Panama. I went to a Dr. here for severe back pain, and told her I cannot take acet...

capsule ## First off, I would like to state that there is no medication called Roxicet. This is a confusion of the names of two different brand name medications; Percocet, which contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and Roxicodone, which just contains Oxycodone. The Oxycodone is a narcotic and can cause side effects such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can you provide the imprint from the capsules? That will enable to us to help you determine what medication you have. ## sorry but you are wrong, roxicet is the new generic form of percocet, I just got some from CVS for a migrane and it said on the bottle "ROXICET 10/500" ## have got roxycet from a drug store in GA. they are generic and they are red and white with no marking i have never seen this before. I do l...

I need to know how much acetomenaphine sp?) is in this capsule (or other similiar OTC). ## Oxycodone tablets do not contain Acetaminophen. I think you are referring to Percocet, which contains both. Is there any sort of imprint on your capsule? U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have unique letters or numbers (sometimes in addition to a logo) imprinted on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. For information on Percocet, you can click on the link below: For information on Oxycodone, follow this link: Please post back if you have any other questions or comments to add. ## This capsule is Oxycodone hcl 5 mg; color is either yellow & white capsule (could be orange & white) with imprint "lv" on yellow/or...

taking 10/650 what is next ## If this does not work for pain control you may need to move onto oxycodone or brand name Roxicet, Percocet. They are usually next in line. If those don't work then onto morphine, oxycontin, or something like the duragesic patch. ## Yes, nenene is correct, that is the highest you can get in these types of drugs, unless you happen to live in an area that has a druggist who still does compounding, then your doctor can request that they make you capsules in a higher strength, but there are very druggists left that do that, so they are very hard to find. ## Thanks FDA for screwing up My Life I had no problems at all with the blue m361 hydocodone I have chronic back pain don't understand why u couldn'tjust put a warning label on if it bothers some peo...

Do the compounded oxys work just as good as tabs? ## Do compounded oxys work as good as.oxys tabs ## What compound are you asking about? Most Oxycodone medications are available in tablet form, there are only a few available in capsules, such as the immediate release Oxycodone. Or did you mean something your doctor specially ordered to be done by a compounding pharmacy? Oxycodone is a narcotic and will work as such, regardless of what form it is in, however, it is sometimes coupled with Acetaminophen, to enhance its effects, in preparations such as Percocet.

I am disabled in NE Florida and have been on a pain management regime for about 12 years now. I am currently prescribed and using two differing pain medications in this ongoing he'll of trying to stay ahead of the often unbearable pain. I take Morphine every 12 hours-ALWAYS, and Percocet when needed for the stingy pain days. I also down Ibuprofen like it's candy. Because of this, my stomach has become SEVERELY intolerant of it lately when I have to take the Percocet for breakthrough pain. My physician has attributed this to too much Acetaminophen given that it is added to the fact that I already take so much Ibuprofen as well regularly. He switched my breakthrough med from Percocet (10/325) to Oxycodone 5mg I capsules since it'll cut down on my Acetaminophen intake immensely...

This is a nightmare!! I suffer from multiple auto-immune diseases such as Connective Tissue Disease, R.A, Livedo, Raynauds, & traces of Lupus. All of which cause EXCRUTIATING PAIN!! On top of all of those, my body attacks itself 24/7!! Over the years the doctors have tried a ridiculous amount of different pain medications. I called it the 'medication game', & it was anything but fun!! Either there was minimal to no relief with them, or they made me feel awful! They tried everything from Percocet 10mgs, Endocet, Methadone 45mgs per day, oxycontin, Hydromorphine 4mgs tablets & 8 mg tablets, & all medicatons are/were accompanied by Ibproufen 800 mgs capsules. During one hospital visit they even had me on a conjunction of Dilauded 8mgs PLUS oxycontin 20 mgs, every 3 ...
