Can anyone help a man in pain? I'm in search of a doc that prescribes methadone. My Dr. moved to another state. Please any advice? I live in Philadelphia. Pa. . ## Advanced Urgent Care. City Ave. ## I myself go to an Urgent Care and know for a fact they do prescribe Methadone. My mother is prescribed 10mg of methadone with 15mg of oxycodone for chronic back pain. I have back pain but am only prescribed 20mg of oxycodone. No appointment necessary they take walk-ins and are open 7 days a week. the doctors there are very helpful and caring. hope this helps...

I've been taking 15mg of Percocet with Tylenol in them for a year. My dr just gave me a 20mg dose without the Tylenol, but it doesn't seem to be working as well. Why is that? ## The ONLY difference in the two pills is the Tylenol, and 1 of the pills (oxy 20) has 5 mgs more than the Percocet 15? I put the ? Because I NEVER heard of a Percocet 15; only 10, 20 and Percocet 30. Never the less, oxycodone is the narcotic in both pills, and oxycodone is oxycodone. I was prescribed 8 mg of ER Hydromorphone today in place of Percocet 10/325 3x a day. I hope it works without making me sleepy or tired. I'm scared, but need to find one medication instead of so many Percocet. My Pain Mgt Dr. has been reducing my Percocet 10/325 mg pills down from 6/day to 3/day and my Kadian 20 mg pills down from 4/day to 3/day! I have been on this drug regimen for 7 yrs. due to a poor outcome from my last lumbar fusion surgery. I have heard that the DEA is requiring that all doctors must wean their patients down off of ALL opiate pain meds. I was prescribed 5/325 mg tablets and told to take 1-2 for pain from kidney stone surgery. I did NOT have it filled because I still had some at home. I took one about 90 minutes ago and realized that they are 10/325. Is it ok to take another one or would that be dangerous. I know nothing about pain meds. ## It would depend on your tolerance and if you're taking any other medications. For someone not used to taking opiates 20mg of Oxycodone is quite a bit. However, it's not enough, in my opinion, to worry about overdose. You'll likely just get very sleepy. If you just took a 10/325 why do you feel the need to take another so soon? What manufacturer currently makes the best generic Percocet 10's? My pharmacy carries Mallinckrodt and I had a huge issue with their Norco years ago so I would like to ask if they'll order a different one for me but I don't know which would be good. I got a report to read from the FDA sent from the DEA on generic Percocet from a friend's family member that works for the FDA. The report said that in their discussions they came up with a plan to stop people from dying from overdoses & addiction. Said Generic Percocet is the most abused medicine on the market. They have in place a 20% tolerance on generic pain medication and they deemed this wasn't helping the abuse of Percocet. I have taken 10/325 MD 523 generic for years. I took IP 204 for a month with noticeable side effects; swollwen feet and less bowel movement, even with daily miralax. My question....DOES IP 204 CAUSE BULDGING FEET THEN MD 523??????????? Thank you for any comments. ## Did you mean the tablet with the M523 10/325 marking? Because there isn't one with an MD on it. The constipation can be a side effect of any narcotic opiate and though it isn't common, Percocet can cause fluid retention in some people, as well. There can be slight fluctuations from one generic to another, so taking a different one may have caused the problem, but you should really have it checked out by your doctor to be safe. What happens if you take expired Percocet? ## When did it expire? If it is within one year, it is still as potent as if it were still in date. All Rx's usually start losing their effectiveness at a rate of 5-20% each year. please tell me if my small white pill with 10 on one side and 00 on the other is the same as percocet. it is said to be oxycodone ## I elieve that what you are looking at is a marking of OC 10 and that is one of the original Oxycontin 10mg tablets, which have now been discontinued and replaced with the ones marked OP 10. It is not the same as Percocet, because it does not contain the Acetaminophen. This tablet only contains 10mgs of Oxycodone in a time released formulation. I have been taking suboxone/zubsolv for the past eleven months. I was taking subs but my insurance refused to pay for them so now I am on Zubsolv 5.7/1.4 two times a day. I went to see my doctor on May 5, 2015 and got my script for 60 zubsolv. However, when I went to the pharmacy, the pharmacist told me that my doctor was no longer covered by my insurance, and I would have to pay cash. I have been buying a few at the time when I could afford them. Needless to say, I can't afford two a day so I have been taking just one a day.
