This call center is HORRIBLE - don't they understand they are dealing with people with MS? What JERKS ## Hi, Deb! Very sorry you had problems when you called. Where they generally unhelpful, uniformed or was there some other problem? I've found that when I call the one I use, they are usually very helpful. I never had a problem until recently, when they were switching to a different company to fill prescriptions. Do they have a website you can use, rather than calling? ## I had the worst experience with the Ampyra patient assistant. It was the only phone number I had. My insurance specialty pharmacy sent out my Ampyra and teffedera in a regular cardboard box. Both medications arrived in bad shape. It is the end of June. Which means it is hot. The bottles were too hot to even tou...

I contacted Valeant Assistance Drug Program and I was faxed the proper papers to complete and have my Gastro. Doc. fill out and submit a script along with my SS earnings for 2013. This was done on 7/7/14. If would be approved the drug would cost me nothing!! Well this afternoon (7/22/14) I received a call from them and they did not approve me for the drug because I have AVMED/Medicare even though my insurance will not fill the script. This really sucks. What does a person have to do to get the proper medicine for IBS. Bentyl doesn't work, I got very sick from it. I am clueless and very upset about this. ## Hello, Janice! How are you? One months prescription is over $500 and I will need these enzymes for the rest of my life. If you were approved, How did you qualify. Do you have any insurance? I was denied because I'm on a Medicare Advantage program. I'm on SSDI and this expense is a true hardship. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ## Has anyone had trouble with the cost of their Zenpep prescription. It is also known as Pancrealipase, although there are no generic substitutes. My nephew is on this medication, he isn't working and doesn't have a prescription plan. Could you tell me if there is a Patient Assistance program that would allow him to receive this drug from the maker(company)? He will be returning to work soon, but he needs the medicine now. ## On the manufacturers website, they are partnered with PPARX, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance to help people who can't afford them, obtain needed meds when they have no insurance. There is a link to click with information on how to apply about half-way down the page. Seroquel Info and PPARX Click Here

Trying to get information for assistance for a Patient Assistance Program. The name of the drug is Metformin HCL 500 Mg Tablets. This is for my 84 yr old Mother. ## Metformin is on WalMart's $4 plan, which Target copys. At either place, you can get 30d for $4; at WalMart (maybe Target too, not sure) you can get 90d for $10 ## You can get it at Publix pharmacy free ## I think the advice provided by the other posters is good and you should check it out. Since this is a generic medication, there aren't regular assistance programs to help with it. Does you mother have any type of insurance coverage? The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, stomach pain, diarrhea, and hypoglycemia.

I have several pounds of metal in my body, but the doctor will not give me anything that actually helps, because they care more about not pissing off the feds than their own patients well~being, and I am quite poor, other than my Medicaid, which is useless without a doc giving me an actual script... It's a vicious circle... Can anyone help? I am in pure misery.

I've been taking vyvanse for my entire life and I've been without my vyvanse for 2 days now and it's affecting my new job already and I'm panicking, my prescription is 303$ to pick up at my pharmacy and that's the cheapest of all pharmacies in my area and I don't get my new insurance until may and I can really use the free 30 day trial of vyvanse if anyone can help me out. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to lower the cost to 50$ or $60 because that's all I have to spend right now. But the 30 day trial would be a God send. I wont have insurance until may 2018 and I just don't know what to do, I've tried everything. Thank you. ## The manufacturer Shire does have an assistance program for this medication. I lost my job because my call center closed on May 31st. The insurance I had which almost entirely paid for all of my prescriptions also ended. I'm currently substitute teaching but that is as needed. Is there anyway to get samples of this prescription in the meantime? 100mg 1X's daily is the dosage I took. ## Unfortunately, since Losartan is a generic medication, patient assistance, and sample programs are not likely available. However, there is a Prescription Discount Card available here. It is free, and has helped many people save money on prescriptions. Another idea would be to ask your pharmacist if they know of any helpful programs available, some states, such as Washington, have a program specifically for low-income, uninsured people. When I was uninsured, and needed it, ...

I am on medicare in Wisconsin. I am on ms contin er 15mg tablets. I get them at cvs. I'm wondering if there is any way to get them cheaper? Seems like discounts aren't often allowed on medicare. ## Hi Jet, I'm not sure if Medicare allows patients to use pharmacy coupons in conjunction with their service, but I did want to add that MedsChat offers a free Rx Savings Card that can be used at over 60,000 pharmacies nationwide for an average discount of 15-75% off your medication. It might be worth presenting it at your next refill just to see what the dollar cost comes out to. If the savings outweighs what medicare provides, it may be practical to use it instead. Another idea is to ask the pharmacy about any patient assistance programs that the manufacturer offers (if any). I ho...

It's not real public - but you can find info at heretohelpprogram.com Docs who are qualified to script subs can have up to three patients on it at any one time, thing is they don't make it easy. you got to get your doctor's fax line and have the company fax the papers directly to your docs office and if he has a cool secretary - have her make an extra set for the doc to have on hand so he doesn't have to jump through hoops to help hid patients and have her make a copy or two for you so that you can give them to your friends who are struggling and the can take them to their docs in person - no fax number needed. I live in Monticello, MS...had Medicaid several years and went to fill my suboxone and found I no longer qualify bc my son turned 18 on February 28th...my husband is in 100% renal kidney failure and we are living on a limited income. HELP!!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ## Hello, Suzie! How are you? There is an assistance program available for the Suboxone film. You can call them to see if you quality, the number is 888-898-4818. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Does anyone know the income guidelines for the patient assistance program for Bosulif? ## @Jake, Interestingly enough, Pfizer doesn't seem to list any of the criteria for qualifying patients on the their website for Bosulif. However, digging a little deeper I was able to find a phone number to what they call a "program counselor" who is supposed to help research and determine what programs you may be eligible for through "Pfizer First Resource program" to get Bosulif at no charge. The number they have listed is: 1-877-744-5675, and the office hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 8pm Eastern Standard Time. I hope this helps!
