My husband was prescribed Oxybutynin over two weeks ago, after a week the dose was increased to two tablets a day. He has Parkinson's disease and takes Sinemet and Ropineral. Over the past few days, his Parkinson's which was controlled has now spiraled to the point where his mobility and tremors are badly affected. Could this be connected to the Oxybutynin? This condition worsens as the day progresses. ## Yes, the NCBI actually does report that is has been known to worsen cognitive function in those that have Parkinson's. This has also been noted in studies by other groups, such as SafeRX, and some government clinical trials. What dosage is he currently taking? Why was it prescribed and what other medications does he take?

My mother 88 years has been using Ropark, Pacitane along with multivitamin tablets. Recently, I was suggested that multivitamins decrease/inihit the effect of parkinson medicines like Ropark®, Pacitane®. And that is the result why shaking is increasing for my mother. I would like to know if this is true or simply a myth before I ask her doctor for second opinion. Thank you

Wife diagnosed with Parkinsons disease on Jan 16, 2006. She takes Sinmet, Namenda, Citalopram HBR (your manufacture), Exelon, Vitamin D, Vitamin B, and Ibuprophen. About 20+ pills a day. She has a terrible time taking your pills (1 and 1/2 20 mg tablets at breakfast). For some reason the Citalopram sticks to her tongue and she simply doesn't seem to be able to get them down. The other pills are not very difficult. I've tried apple sauce, yogurt, honey, juice, water, grinding them up into a powder (pills do not pulverize and many granules remain in the glass). She eats a normal amount of food; slowly but normal quantity. How can I help her swallow the Citalopram pills from you? Can anyone possibly tell me what a white oblong with PX on one side may be? ## Hello, Kristi! How are you? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, hallucinations, dizziness, confusion and weakness. This medication is also occasionally used to treat RLS. what is the shelf like of carbi/levodopa 25/100 arlene ## Hello, Arlene! How are you? If they are in a bottle as dispensed by your pharmacy, tablets expire one year from the date they were dispensed to you, because they are then exposed to the elements that cause degradation. If they are in the originally factory sealed bottle, they are usually good for at least 3 years, from the date of sealing. This medication is most commonly used to treat the symptoms of Parkinson's Disease and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, hypotension and vivid dreams. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi , now that Synaptic Forte is no longer available. Is there a replacement that is as good as Synaptic. Thanks

My dad uses this medication for Parkinson's related tremors. ## How long does it take for carbo/levo to get into your system and take effect? Is this a time released medication? ## In regards to the first question for anyone looking for information in the future: Without knowing more details, such as the markings on them, there is no way for anyone to tell you who the manufacturer is, since this is a generic that is made by several different companies. Thus, if that's the information you need, you'll have to include more details in your post, preferably any markings that are on the tablets. As to how long it takes to start working, most tablets take about 15 to 20 minutes, once ingested. However, it will take about 4...
