Pariet Rabeprazole

Rabeprazole, sold under the brand name Aciphex, among others, is a medication that decreases stomach acid.[6] It is used to treat peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and excess stomach acid production such as in Zollinger–Ellison syndrome.[6] It may also be used in combination with other medications to treat Helicobacter pylori.[7] Effectiveness is similar to other proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).[8] It is ...

Is there any interaction between Pariet and Dexamphetimine ## Hello, Julie! How are you? Have they both been prescribed for you? The Pariet may reduce the efficacy of the Dextroamphetamine, so it may not work as well for you. The Dextroamphetamine also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, irritability, weight loss and anorexia.

On CT head scan the subject above is detected. I hv been asked by my doc to take dicorate ER 250 daily after dinner. Is this observation serious. Will I be cured with drug treatment. Or is it adviseable to go in to homeopatic medication. Pls advise. Thanks. Yvonne

My dad had a brain infection in his temporal and parietal lobes. After trying to treat it with antibiotics, they finally performed surgery and removed the pus manually. About two months after he was released from the hospital, he began having extremely painful neuropathy in his fingers, legs and feet. His fingertips have been splitting, cracking and bleeding, and his legs and feet have had painful rashes and open wounds. He has tried steroid creams for his legs and feet, which help, but for his hands he has been given Gabapentin, Cymbalta and Lyrica, all which cause strange mental behavior...which I would liken to mildly psychotic. They seem to help his pain, but all make him have "the evil inside," which is what he calls it when he has episodic behavior due to these drugs. Can ...

I have been using cylift for 5 years. My doctor put me on Venlor 8 months ago. I was doing well on cylift. I also take Pariet for GERD. Now with the Venlor I have increased accid reflux and a feeling of pressure between breasts. This I never had with Cylift. Can I go back to Cylift. I stopped Venlor TODAY to see if the accid reflux decreases. However, I do not want to "crash" again mentally like before when I used to take myself off medication. ## Hi Bebo, From your description, I don't see why your doctor would have any particular reason to deny you the ability to switch back over from Venlor to Cylift; especially if he can also judge that it's not the appropriate medication for you. You also mentioned that you take Pariet for GERD. Has this medication ever given you an...

I have been taking coverall 2mg for about 1 year now. I have blurred vision, awful leg pain, and have developed a cough with mucus running down the back of my throat. I have also gained weight for no reason. I also take pariet 20mg. Can you please give me some advice? ## Hello, Ollie! How are you? The blurred vision and leg pain might be due to the Coverall, the FDA does list those as being possible side effects, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. Both of these medications are listed by the NIH as possibly causing weight gain. As to the cough with mucous, that might be due to an acid issue, if you are taking the Pariet to treat acid reflux, or a similar condition, it can cause a cough with mucous and sinus drainage. What type of foods do you eat? What do yo...

Can you advise what category this falls in , is this a morphine based medication ? ## Hi Gareth, The only pill I've found that matches this description is a foreign version of Nexium, possibly from Taiwan. From what I can gather this pill contains (40 mg) of the active ingredient Esomeprazole. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (brand name Nexium) which reduces acid secretion through inhibition of the H+ / K+ ATPase in gastric parietal cells. By inhibiting the functioning of this transporter, the drug prevents formation of gastric acid. It is used in the treatment of dyspepsia, peptic ulcer disease (PUD), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD/GERD) and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Esomeprazole is the S-enantiomer of omeprazole (brand name Prilosec/Losec). Generic versions of Eso...

I suffered by plantar fasciitis from last 2 months, Doctor diagnosed me parit & Zerodol-CR single tablet per day what are the side effects of both tablets be'coz I have stomatch problem. ## Zerodol CR contains a time released formulation of Aceclofenac, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, used to treat pain and swelling. Thus, yes, one of its side effects can be stomach irritation, along with nausea, drowsiness and headache. For the other medication, I am assuming you meant Pariet? It contains the active ingredient Rabeprazole, this is a proton pump inhibitor and helps reduce the amount of acid produced by your stomach. Your stomach problem and the stomach irritation that the Zerodol can cause, is probably why your doctor prescribed this one, with it. Its common side effects...

i an a patient of veinous anomaly and had a focal seizure in december 2009 till then i have been given oxetol 300mg and 100mg eptoin in morng and 200 mg eptoin and 450 mg of oxetol in evening. is it toxic?? ## Oxetol contains the active ingredient Oxcarbazepine. You are on normal dosages of it, in the U.S. it is used in amounts as high as 600mgs per dosage. Eptoin contains the active ingredient Phenytoin. It is used in dosages as high as 300mgs per dose, so you're not taking a crazy amount of it, either. Have you spoken to your doctor about your concerns? ## i know the dosage is not high but i feel some side effects like nystagmus and pain in shoulder and right limb. actully the anomaly is near the motor region of the left parietal lobe. so till december i had some sentional lapse i...

Pantoprazol is a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) which inactivates an Enzyme called Hydrogen-Potassium ATPase in our Stomach Parietal Cells which secrete Acid (Hydrogen ion or H+) into the stomach cavity in exchange for another positive Ion called Potassium(K) which goes back to the same Parietal Cell. It takes about 18 hours for this enzyme to come back after one dose of PPI. One pitfall in this process is the blocking of Bicarbonate (HCO3) which normally gets secreted into the thick mucus coating and protecting our Stomach mucosa in normal health. That means the drug that is expected to protect your stomach is actually taking away some of its natural protection! Prolonged use of PPI can atrophy the Parietal Cells which aso normally secrete Digestive enzymes like Pepsin and Amylase and ano...
