Pantop 40

I have been taking pantop 40 for more than 6 years now just when I wake up. I am scared of using the drug for so long and want to stop it but feel sick if I don't take it. Can you please let me know if it is harming me in any way and what other alternative is there. I am obese and suffer from slip disc and severe cramps in my legs when I sleep. Kindly guide. I recieved a prescription for Pantoprazole Sodium DR 40mg. But my pill looks completely different from what I've had in the past and is different from the descriptions I can find on what it should look like. I have a white, oval tablet with "97" imprinted on one side. The imprints vary between red or black in the same bottle. What do I have in my hands? I have been taking pantium pantoprazole 40mg. While on holidays I discovered actavis pantoorazol 40mg (much cheaper). I m presuming the two are the same , just different manufacturers. I just had my Pantoprazole refilled and the pills are different .The new pill is white and oblong with the numbers 1097 printed on one side. My father recently took Pantop 40 for the treatment of gastritis along with Opidol (tramadol hydrochloride 50 mg) while he was having the red erythematous patches in his extremities. There were some of patches in the lower abdomen. All these persists along with some abdomen pain. ## Has the gastritis improved, at all? We were receiving the Pantoprazole 40mg EC tablets, yellow~oval~w434. The last refill we received the Pantoprazole 40mg DR tablets, white~oval~KU181. These do not seem to be working as well as the original ones. We were trying to locate the differance between EC and DR. We did discover the DR means delayed release, but found no info on EC. Hi ! I'm 24 weeks pregnant and my dr gave me Topzole Pantoprazole 40 mg to take for the severe heart burn , its working like a boss , its the best . But now my question is does it form a foam in the stomach ?? The reason I ask is because I can't seem to burb ( excuse fo that ) and also struggle to throw up ( vommit ) and when I do its just white foam and lots ?? Sorry for all the detail ...
