15 days ago i've black stool. after check up endoscopy result gastric & duodonal ulcer. usg report grade 1 fatty liver. doctor prescribe pantacid40mg & other doctor prescribe razo20 . what is beter for me? ## Razo contains the active ingredient Rabeprazole and Pantocid contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, both are proton pump inhibitors that are used to help reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. My father in law had a bypass about 6 years ago. He then developed colon cancer. He went for the op and is now cancer free. He was told however to take Pantacid 20. After the 1st month the Dr just continued giving it to him. He now gets weak regularly and has to be hospitalised for blood transfusion. They do scans and diagnostics, but can't find anything. He also finds it difficult to eat, has the runs, passes lots of gas. Pls can someone help by telling me if he should stop or what we can do. In first instance I used HP KIT ( THREE TABLETS ) for 14 days . then I used pentacid dsr one tablet before break fast for a month as per my doctors advise , At present I am using pantacid DSR when I noticed gastric symtoms only . I used to get skin allergy on my legs from 3 years only in winters. Finally a doctor diagnised it as allergic dermititis and prescribed Omnacortil Tampering course for 2 months from 60 to 10 mg. Along with it, Pantacid 40, Alerid and Allegra 180. With in a week, My skin problem almost disappeared, but a new problem started. Well since last month am feeling slow pain in my lower abdomen... I consult with a physician and he suggested for Ultrasound as per report there was 3.4mm renal stone. However, in addition to the medication, you also need to make sure to be careful with your diet. You'll need to avoid anything very spicy or acidic for awhile, including coffee and tea. Alcoholic beverages are another thing you should stay away from for a few months. All of these types of things can just make it worse and slow down the healing process.
