What's the best dose to fix chest infection I have a bottle of 25mg but forgot or lost the dosage? Do you taper by half to full? ## Hello, Henry! How are you? If you have an infection, you're going to need an antibiotic, this will not treat that. This is a type of steroid, so it can help with some of the inflammation that makes it difficult to breath. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, insomnia and nervousness. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been diagnosed with polymyolitis and put on 15mg of panafcort per day. I am concerned that I may have Fibromyalgia, not polymyolitis. Would panafcort be recommended for both conditions? I'm worried that I am taking the wrong medication.

Will panafcortelone help my acne and fingernails that grow miss shapen? ## Hello, Pen! How are you? And no, this is a steroid class medication, so it could actually make those problems worse. Usually, misshapen fingernails are due to some type of vitamin deficiency, which you should get checked for, so you know which one your are deficient in. What do you normally eat? Do you take any vitamins, supplements or other medications? ## Thankyou so much, that's fantastic, thankyou for your reply, :)

I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. No, these two medications should not be mixed, they both increase the toxicity of the other, so it's just not safe to do so. It would be best to ask your doctor what is safe for you to take. How are you? No, Prednisone and Prednisolone are two different medications, although the FDA classifies them both as steroids and they can treat similar conditions. And it doesn't become dangerous, once expired, but it does being to lose efficacy, so it would be best to dispose of it and obtain a new supply. Hi my friend gave me a small white tablet because I said I felt down and needed a sleep I cant remember what they said it was called ## Sorry it's PL not l ## Based on the description provided, the closest match I could locate is a small, flat, white round pill, marked with "PL" over "5" (and a horizontal score line in between). However it happens to be blank on the other side. This particular pill is identified as Panafcortelone (prednisolone) 5mg, made in Australia by Aspen Pharmacare. Prednisolone is in a class of medications called steroids. It prevents swelling and redness by changing the way the immune system works. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Prednisolone Details I know that its indications don't appear to be related to sleep disorde...

I hav been coughing non-stop for 3months in a row now, to the point that I developed chest pains and sore ribs. The coughing is so bad I can't sleep at night because its non-stop and I even throw up & have to spit all the time, mostly mucus; at first the mucus was clear, now it varies between yellow&green; even had one or two blood stricks in the mucus. My doc couldn't diagnose what the actual problem is but did say its not asthma or TB or bronchitus or pneumonia or cancer & he prescribed clacee500mg with panafcort 5mg. I hav been taking the course for 3days now but the condition is the same. Is it safe to be taking clacee 500mg in the absence of a clear diagnosis? ## Hello, Tiana! How are you feeling?
