I have been prescribed pantoprazole 40mg to take one hour before my evening meal. The pill is small, yellow in colour with no markings. It is manufactured by Teva UK. I have been taking this medication for 16 days now and I'm not sure whether it is working. The reflux, gas and nausea have mostly gone, yet I still feel a dull pressing pain in in my upper stomach area. It is not as frequent as before, but it is still present. Is this normal? Everything I read online says I should be cured by now but I know we are all different and my doctor has prescribed the pills for 8 weeks in total. Does it sometimes take a bit longer for the pain to leave or should I request a change to my prescription? thank you. ## I'm not sure what your read, but 16 days is kind of soon to expect it to wor...

Can I take pan 40 or pan d during pregnancy? Please advice me. ## There are no studies showing the Pantoprazole is known to be dangerous, during pregnancy, but the NIH does advise that it only be taken by a pregnant woman if no other options work, or if other options are not available. The same applies to the Domperidone in Pan D, it should only be taken if your doctor feels that the benefits to you will outweigh any possible risk. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, stomach pain, flatulence, and diarrhea. Are you on any other medications?

Now do you take the tablet before meals or after meals. I am a diabetic and allergic to salt. my doctor said they cannot operate, as he cannot fix my hernia. It is to deep. ## It should be taken with a meal, basically just as you are sitting down to eat, that way it has the time to start working, when you are digesting your food. This medication contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, it helps reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, and flatulence. Is there anything else I can help with?

We were receiving the Pantoprazole 40mg EC tablets, yellow~oval~w434. The last refill we received the Pantoprazole 40mg DR tablets, white~oval~KU181. These do not seem to be working as well as the original ones. We were trying to locate the differance between EC and DR. We did discover the DR means delayed release, but found no info on EC. Could you please help us figuring out what the difference is?? Thank You ## Hello, Markayshai! How are you? Both abbreviations really mean they same thing, they just designate it as being a time released formulation. The EC stands for enteric coated, there are many that the pharmaceutical industry uses for this. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Fantastic! I couldn't find anything anywhere what EC mean't!! Do you know if different man...

Hi ! I'm 24 weeks pregnant and my dr gave me Topzole Pantoprazole 40 mg to take for the severe heart burn , its working like a boss , its the best . But now my question is does it form a foam in the stomach ?? The reason I ask is because I can't seem to burb ( excuse fo that ) and also struggle to throw up ( vommit ) and when I do its just white foam and lots ?? Sorry for all the detail ... Thank u ## Hello, Liliana! How are you doing? Congratulations on the baby! That really sounds like what can happen if your stomach is empty and you are just vomiting stomach acids. However, it would be best to check with your doctor to be sure. Is there anything else I can help with?

My wife takes pantocid 40mg but refuses to take these when the tablet formulation includes domperidone 10mg. Does this medication alter the effect of pantocid or is domperidone essential for overall drug effectiveness? Thank you. ## Pantocid contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach, to treat or prevent conditions such as ulcers, GERD, heartburn and gastritis. It is effective by itself and doesn't need the Domperidone to work. It is just sometimes added to some of the medications to add its effects in, since it is also used to treat similar conditions. However, by taking just one medication and not a combination product, she risks less side effects, such as nausea, stomach pain, diz...

my doctor gave me this pill and it has not changed any of my symptoms (belching stomach growling sore and tight throat liquid sensation in my stomach) ...sometimes it feels like they've gotten worse. I wait 30 min before breakfast in order to take it. I've been on it for a week and no difference whatsoever. would I be able to stop taking it and try soemthing else? ## Hello, April! How are you? There would be no harm in stopping it to try something else, but it can take several weeks to heal the damage that has been done from excess acid, so not all of your symptoms are going to go away in the first week. However, I actually did better and had much better results from a different class of medications than I did these ones. Pepcid worked best for me, it's available over the co...

To reduce acidity in the stomach, should Pan 40 be taken before or after food ## Hello, Vicky! How are you? I have been on 2 pumps or 40.5mg of ANDROGEL for 33 days and I feel much better physically and mentally. I was tested about 2 years ago and had a T level at around 280, which is low for a 44yr old straight male. I was also on a large dose of opiates (8 yrs.) which most likely caused my drop in T- production over the years. I played a high level of ice hockey and broke my T4-T7 vertebrae and had to take opioids due to the pain. I am happy to say that I am now 5 Months sober and have been in physical therapy and I feel like I’m 25 again. My libido is back to levels where I am in awe! Not trying to be funny but it’s true. Also, sticking to a gluten-free diet and moderate exercise will help get your blood panels close to perfect. I am 6 ft. 178lbs, and was close to 195lbs. 2 Mon...

small round pale yellow identifier 124 on one side only ## IC PANTOPRAZOLE SOD DR 40 MG T SUN , small yellow pill with 124 on one side. Please tell me if this is a form of Nexium? Thank-you very much. Gayle~ ## Pale yellow round coated solid with the #124 on one side ## My pantoprazole 40 MG tabs don't look like the descrition on my print out from the pharmacy, Walgreens. They have different numbers on them than the sheet says. ## Just to clear things up, the round, yellow tablet with the 124 on it in black is a 40mg Pantoprazole delayed release tablet, a generic for Protonix. No, this is not the same active ingredient as what is in Nexium, though it is in the same family of medications, proton pump inhibitors. They work by reducing the amount of acid produced by the stomach to help...

Is SDZ Pantoprazole as effective as Pantoprazole? And how do I take (one pill) of 40 mg. SDZ Pantoprazole each day? Label doesn't say whether with or without meals, etc. Thank you. ## They are both the same, the SDZ just stands for the manufacturer, which is Sandoz in that case. It should be taken with an 8 ounce glass of water, just before a meal, so it has time to start working, by the time your meal is digesting. Is there anything else I can help with?

Fellow viibryd folk, I am taking 40mg (been on it for approx 2 mo at this dose). In simply 24 hours I notice a need to take it or I begin to feel very anxious, and afraid. I'm not literally scared, but rather the feeling of having been frieghtened. It results in being emotionally constricted and feeling frozen to move. It feels like it is related to taking the meds, its not my normal self. Any common stories, or comments? ## Yes! Have been taking viibryd for almost 2 years. If I miss one dose, I feel horrible! I have severe panic attacks and immediately feel extremely depressed. It's like an impending doom feeling. I feel CRAZY when I miss a dose.. It's the absolute most horrifying feeling. Im fine as long as I take it every day. I have noticed that it does not work for anxi...

I have been taking Viibryd for a few of months. I started with the sample pack, and have been taking 40 mg. for the past 2 months. The medication works well for me and I've never had a problem. Last night I took 2 Midol at the same time as the Viibryd and I had the WORST panic attack I've ever had. My pulse was over 140, and luckily I was able to calm myself down after a couple of hours and didn't have to go to the hospital. Has anything like this ever happened to anyone else with an over the counter medicine? I have never taken anything at the exact same time as the Viibryd before, and I think that was the issue. Thanks in advance. ## Hi Kelsie, I was going to check whether or not there are any drug interactions or side effects that might explain the panic attack, but wasn...

Hi, the last four weeks for me have been terrifying. Approx. 1 week ago (last Tuesday), I was prescribed with 40 prednisolone tablets, and was instructed to take 8 a day for 5 days straight. Ever since i've come off them last Saturday, things have spiralled out of control. My focus at work is low, and i've had a series of panic attacks and sometimes asthma attacks are then brought on from the panicking. Last week I had a panic/asthma attack at home when no-one was around, and couldn't find a phone to contact anyone. Luckily my dad managed to get me and we managed to control the asthma/anxiety. Since then, and since i've been off the tablets my anxiety symptoms have gone off the scale like never before, i've had several more attacks, sometimes while i'm at work (an h

I'm new to this forum. I have had anxiety and panic attacks for almost 40 years but fought it fairly well until Depression crept in about 10 years ago. Like most here, I've tried just about every antidepressant known but they either did nothing or the anxiety got out of control. My PCP suggested Viibryd as it works slightly different than other SSRIs. I started the sample pack at 10mg per day for one week, then got part way through week 2 but it made me sleep long hours and my anxiety went haywire. I stopped it and started preparing for TMS. Funny thing was that a couple days after stopping Viibryd, I felt as good as I had in quite awhile. This only lasted for a few days and I started feeling crappy again, no energy, no drive. I started Viibryd again and the exact sequence reocc...
