Well first it's very weird but since about 40 mgs my lower back is in severe pain and it's a pain I can't really explain. Also when I take a deep breath my back maybe behind my lungs is like a bruise pain or soreness but it is in my back, any thoughts? Last one is I can't seem to urinate like I did before. I'm not going into a lot of detail about all the health problems that I have that require painkillers. I must say though I am on Medicaid and I have yet to find a doctor that is willing to accept me being on Medicaid and becoming a patient of theirs so that they will prescribe the medications that I need in order to live day by day. The pain that I experience is so intense most days I have to lay in bed all day because I cannot find the will to get up. I know a lot of people probably think oh you're just addicted to them,no that's not the case I need them to help me get through my day just like I said, to do even simple things. I have been on Hydromorph Contin 6mg for 2yrs for spinal stenosis and disc problems and the doctor gradually has increased the dosage (I take 2 pills in the am and 2 in the pm). The problem is that I have a sensitivity to codeine and morphine and eventually I cannot take the meds anymore. Is there other painkillers I can take that are not derived from codeine or morphine? I have also been on fentnyl patches but am allergic to the glue used on the patch. ## Did the Fentanyl help? Was the problem with it just caused by the allergy to the glue? If so, there is another option, available, it also comes in the form of a lollipop called Actiq. Here's the link to more details on it, so you can decide if it's something you'd like to discuss with your doctor: ## Have you ever tried na...

Unfortunately, those side effects may occur with pretty much any of them. The only thing you can really do is try different ones and see which causes you the least amount of problems, while alleviating your pain. You may want to start with something like the Lyrica to see how well it works for you, since it's not known to cause as many side effects as some other choices. I have bad anxiety and I take both Oxymorphone HCL 5mg as well as Oxymorphone HCL 10mg ER painkillers. I take 5 Oxymorphone hcl 5mg pills a day for breakthrough pain and Oxymorphone HCL 10mg ER twice a day. I also take 5 mgs of Valium once a day. Is that ok if I spread everything out? ## Hi Lisa, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), taking Oxymorphone with Valium is generally not recommended and may cause problems with your breathing. Over the past 6 months I have developed acute pain and numbness/tingling, as well as loss of strength, in both hands. I've been to 3 doctors and a specialist and they can't work out what's happening. Once I wake up and move around a little the pain goes away. Sleeping and awake I elevate my foot. So is the painkiller working at all? ## Hello, Liz! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem you're having. Do you think it's possible that you're having nighttime foot cramps? Or possibly moving that foot and flexing it a lot, as you enter deep sleep? Since you're not having severe pain at other times, you may be experiencing breakthrough pain, at night, that goes beyond what the Norco can control.
