I am 21years of age and my Dr. has precribed me Tayo Tables (1 tab Daily at Night). Its bcoz ihave lot of body pain. but before taking the tabs i just wanted to know are there any side effects of it ## Hi sshah, From what I can find, Tayo tablets contain Cholecalciferol, which is a nutritional supplement that's a form of vitamin D. It is not an analgesic and therefore- isn't used to treat pain. I did read that Vit D deficiency can cause chronic pain however, maybe that's why he prescribed it to you? I am 28 year old boy.I am suffering from Chikungunya (sever joint pains, mostly ankle, knees and wrist). My doctor suggest me to take omnacortil 10 mg (2 tables) for 10 days, then reduces to 1 tablet for next days and then half table for next 10 days...so a total duration of 30 days... I was using Pharma press for +- 10 years and then Pharma co for 6 months. I started to get muscle weakness around my knees then the one arm now the other arm. Constant pain in my kidneys and bladder. I am currently taking three 20mg oxycontin a day. Due to insurance reasons the Dr wants to switch me to dilaudid or morphine er. Given the choice, which one gives better pain relief and at what dose would be the equivalent to my 60 mg of oxy which is not currently controlling the pain? Thank you. ## Dilaudid is the more potent of the 2, so you'd have to take less of it to be equal to your current dose or Oxycodone or to raise it for more pain relief. According to NIH tables, it would only take 7.5mgs of it to equal each 20mgs of Oxycodone. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
