 Pain Relief
An analgesic is any member of the group of drugs used to achieve analgesia, relief from pain. The word analgesic derives from Greek αν - ("without") and λγος - ("pain").[1] Commonly known as painkillers, analgesic drugs act in various ways on the peripheral and central nervous systems. They are distinct from anesthetics, which reversibly eliminate sensation, and include paracetamol (known in the US as acetaminophen or simply APAP), the non-steroidal anti-inflamma...

round white pill with a line on one side and the letters pliva and numbers 433 on the other side ## what is it used for ## My husband found a tablet of this description in our family room. Since our daughter (early thirties) was recently arrested trying to obtain pain pills, we are thinking that it's hers. We were lucky neither of our dogs or cat got it! I will most likely flush the darned thing, but I want to know what the heck it was. ## This tablet contains 50mgs of Trazodone, which is an SARI antidepressant. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. You can learn more Trazodone details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

pain relief
I have recently started taking thhis medication and it seems to work well. Although it does not last 8 hours as prescribed by my DR. After 4 to 6 hours the pain starts to return. ## It's only suposed to last that long. Half life means just that. Most ptoplr sleep somrtimes. If you have severe interactive pain ask your doctor to perscribe you Roxicodone 30 mg. tpo evr. 8 hours for breakthrough pain. If She or he knows you have that kind of pain there are no side effects of taking the two together because they are bassically from the same chromium or home as the hexagon goes. Remember not to over do it and take as perscribed, they have to last the whole month. Don't know about you but I'd rather feel something that wears off than a longacting something you barely feel at all. ...

rx pain relief meds
I am going to have surgery to repair a fractured humerus and percocet does nothing to help with the pain. What meds can I get my dr. to prescribe? ## The first choice in many hospitals now for better pain relief is Dilaudid, which contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone. Learn more Dilaudid details here. It's very potent, it only takes 3.75mgs of it to equal each 10mgs of Oxycodone, which is the active narcotic in the Percocet. Just like other narcotics, there is a chance that it could be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Has your doctor made any other suggestions? ## i think opoid drugs like tramadol and opoid related drugs can help you but addiction resuls if u take more than its dosage and duration ## I agree ... ...

Abdominal Pain Relief
Is there anything that has proven successful for anyone else to relieve stomach pain? I have tried beano, pepto, tylenol/advil. Ive taken the meds with food, without food. There has to be something that has worked for someone else other than what is in the instructions from the manufacturer. Thanks. ## Hello, Jennifer! How are you doing? I am very sorry about the problem that you're having. If nothing is working to help and the pain is that bad, this just might not be the right medication to help you. Have you discussed the problem with your prescriber? Not all medications can be taken by everyone that tries them. Have you tried any other methods to quit smoking? ...

non narcotic pain relief
I can not take any NSAIDs due to being a gastric bypass patient and there is too much of a risk of a bleed with these drugs.. I am already on hydrocodone so I can not take any other narcotic analgesics. Is there any other non narcotic chronic pain reliever out there to supplement the hydrocodone. Can't take tramadol now because NYS classified this as a narcotic. My doctor is going crazy trying to find something for me and has had no luck so far. ## Why can't you take another narcotic? They are very commonly combined to give someone better pain relief. People with severe pain are often given a long acting narcotic along with a regular or instant release one for breakthrough pain. But if your doctor doesn't want to combine them, you could switch to a different one that's s... ...

Ziks Arthritis Pain Relief Capsaicin + Menthol + Methyl Salicylate
Capsaicin (/kæ; 8-methyl-N-vanillyl-6-nonenamide) is an active component of chili peppers, which are plants belonging to the genus Capsicum. It is an irritant for mammals, including humans, and produces a sensation of burning in any tissue with which it comes into contact. Capsaicin and several related compounds are called capsaicinoids and are produced as secondary metabolites by chili peppers, probably as deterrents against certain mammals and fungi.[2] Pure capsaicin is a volat...
Pain Relief from Clonazepam
Does anyone else get pain relief from clonazepam? It doesn't make me relaxed or sleepy; it just relieves pain better than any NSAID. I was prescribed it for chronic daily headache several years ago. Now I still have lower back achiness from a herniated disc surgery last Dec. If I don't take the clonazepam, my back achiness worsens, as well as my headache. I don't feel relaxed, sleepy, high or anything else. Just pain relief. Does anybody have any idea why I seem to get a different reaction than everybody else? ## There are a few possible reasons that you may be experiencing this. One could be due your not taking it sometimes, doing that may cause a rebound effect, which would make your headache and pain worse, it's kind of a mild withdrawal symptom. Another could be due ... ...

Pain relief in the northwest
I have chronic pain from fibromyalgia, inflammatory arthritis, and bulging discs in my back. So far the doctors haven’t been able to do much to help with the various treatments that they are having me undergo. I had a medial branch block done last week, which is basically going in and numbing your nerves and it is supposed to make your pain go away for about six hours, if it works they go in and fry the nerve endings in the same area. Problem is since the initial procedure my pain went from a normal 5 to 6 to a regular 7 to 8 and that is if I don’t do anything… at all. My regular doctor was prescribing Norco 5/325 for me but now that I am “associated†with the pain center, she would like me to see them... ...
