for multiple sclerosis ## I am not sure if the medication I have in mind is specifically for MS related pain, but from what I understand it is mostly for relapsing-remitting MS and secondary progressive MS with relapses. It is called Rebif, active ingredient Interferon Beta 1a. Is that what you have in mind or could it be a different name?? ## Rebif is a shot, not for pain but to help stop relapses in M.S. I have M.S., there is no pill just for pain for M.S. If not, what is the suggestion? ## I have a co-worker that is killing herself with a pain med that I only know it starts with an R. She acts as if she is drunk and drives in t...

In the 70s there was an OTC analgesic you could buy for pain. It was not Aspirin or Tylenol. It began with the letter "E". (It wa not a compound; Excedrin.). I have been wracking my brains to no avail. Thanks in advance. ## Somebody saw this question on our Facebook page and is suggesting: "Empirin # 4". Does that ring a bell? ## Yes it does, and was my first thought. I guess I thought the medication was an aspirin alternative, so when I looked up Emperin and saw that It IS asprin I wondered if there was another answer. Thanks for the reply! ## Empirin ## There's a narcotic beginning with an E called Endocet (Percocet) for pain.

Used it when I had my total knee. Two syllables, I think. Can't take most pain meds, so need to find out. ## Do you remember the pharmacy that filled it for you? They would still have the records in their computer and should be able to look back and provide you with the information. Off the top of my head, the only pain reliever I can think of that starts with a T that is commonly used is Tramadol, it's a centrally acting analgesic, though it is related to opiates and causes similar side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. V mark on the pill. Color white. Very bitter ## A V on the pill doesn't necessarily signify what it contains. The V is commonly used by the pharmaceutical company Vintage/Qualitest as their logo and they make many different products, only a few of which are analgesics. HEY DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANY PAIN PATCHES THAT START WITH THE LETTER N ## Hi Wormie, Based on my research, Norspan patch (buprenorphine) is the only relevant match I'm finding that begins with a letter N. The manufacturer advertises it towards treating chronic severe pain when lower doses of strong opioids are being considered. However, further notes from the Rational Assessment of Drugs and Research (RADAR) suggest that more familiar opioids such as morphine are generally more preferred for managing chronic pain since they also tend to offer a broader range of dosages and formulations. I hope this helps!
