Need to find a doctor in Upstate NY that specializes in Migraines
I have had migraines since I was 13. Recently, last 4 months, found that Oxycodone takes the pain, auora, and naseau away in about an hour, and keeps it away for up to 8 hours. This is a miracle. No other migraine drug ever worked like this. Now, with the new laws, my primary won't prescribe this. I need to locate a migraine doctor that will treat me. I only get one or two headaches a month, and take 1-2 pills for them, so I am only needing 4 to 6 pills a month, but still impossible to get them. They really are a life changer for migraine sufferers. I wish someone had tried these on me 30 years ago. My life would have been a lot easier. ## Due to the new regulations, you'll need to see a specialist, so that could be either someone specializing in pain management, or a neurologis... ...

Any information is greatly appreciated. ## It is ILLEGAL for a Doctor to prescribe methadone for addiction. They can only prescribe for pain management. ## Jimbo, I know the post is old but I hope people don't believe your comment because it is so wrong. I hate when people get this info perhaps you don't know.Doctors can and do prescribe meth for pain and addiction if an office setting. This is a generic, which means that your pharmacy may switch which one they carry, depending on what manufacturer was offering the cheapest price at the time they needed to restock their supply. Fentanyl caution
I am a 46 year old woman who was recently put on a fentanyl patch for chronic pain related to late stage lyme disease. 13 hours after pitting on the patch I was feeling well so I turned on my electric blanket and went to bed. 70 minutes later I woke up having a difficult time breathing , I felt like I could not get air and my heart felt like it was going to stop. I got up and tried to walk around still struggling for a good breath. I took my bllod pressure it was 88/54 heart rate was 51. I decided to call the dr. Who said to remove the patch. Apparently I was having an allergic reaction but moreover the patch should NEVER be used with any heating device electric blanket, heating pad on the patch or hot tub. prilosec/allegra
My son was taking prilosec and Allegra prescribed by the same dr. He was overdosed. It caused him to seize and they had to run test on him afterwards . his regular dr said they were giving him too much. This was about3 years ago. Now I was prescribed it by my dr. When I take it regularly my feet and ankles hurt like crazy. But the back pain is so much worse. After being off of it for awhile my back and ankles completely stop hurting at all. my friend gave 5 15 mg ms contin she just learned her doc is gonna count her meds
Is there a blue bill similar. Im worried she will get kicked out of pain mgmt. How closely do they check ? ## If there aren't exacly enough pills there, she will get kicked out of ain management. For example, if the directions say take 1 tablet twice a day and she got the rx on July 28 and they are going to be counted on Aug 13, she would need to have 32 pills. If she is sure that they won't do a tox report at the pill count she needs to just take 1 pill a day instead of 2 until she knows that she will have the correct amount at the pill count. ## Is there a pill that looks like 15 mg ms contin ? ## Hello, Rae! How are you? No, you will not be able to switch out some of the pills to try to fool them. All prescription tablets have unique markings to enable their identification an... ...

suboxone questions
I have been taking pain pills for 7 years. I detoxed myself off methadone and I almost had a heart attack. I started using when I was 23. I hurt my back, broke my tail bone, then at 25 I was diagnosed with overran cancer. Now at 28, 13 surgeries later I'm addicted. I want my life back. I did detox myself once for 6 months I was clean. The pain associated with detoxing was horrible. My chest hurt my heart hurt my legs back neck you name it. I have an enlarged kidney and I had a kidney stone that had to be surgically removed. That's all she wrote. I am a single mother trying to make it in this world. I have fought to save my life. At 21 I contracted a infection from a.hospital after giving birth to my son. 8 days on iv antibiotics saved me, only 3% of people survive what I did. Th... ...

Pensacola FL Doctor
I'm looking for a Pain Managment Doctor who can take over my Pain Management. I was involved in a Auto Accident back in 2003 that caused permanent damage to the ligaments in my neck and back. I had a digital motion xray performed that verified these injuries, and I was listed as 13% disabled. I've not had any additional testing done since then. I'm currently on 7.5mg Loratabs twice daily, however they're not enough. I don't have insurance either. ...

G E Simvastatin 40mg
I've been taking Simvastatin 40 mg for a year and my cholesterol in below normal for my age and weight (130). Can I quit taking it cold turkey or do I need to ease off of it gradually? The only side effect I've had is the joint pain and not much energy. ## Hi pete, Although Simvastatin can be cold-turkeyed, I would still urge you to let your doctor know before you stop taking it, since I have read a few reports of terrible leg cramping and cardiac problems a couple weeks after stopping it. Everyone reacts differently, so there's no telling whether or not you'd even be likely to experience such symptoms. But if you want to play it safe you can always taper down by taking a fraction of the dose over a period of a couple weeks or so. Has anyone else here had success in stop... ...

How to reduce/fix the side effects of rebeprazole sodium and domperidone capsule?
How to reduce/fix the side effects of rebeprazole sodium and domperidone capsule? My wife is 22 and has a lot of problem of gastritis. So, on Jul/08/13 she took one tablet of rebeprazole sodium and domperidone capsule (not sure about the brand) and was bit foolish to forgot to check the Expiry date. The tablet expired two months ago(May'13). The day she took it, she had a lot of vomiting and body & joint pain along with headache. I took her to emergency ward of Rockland Hospital and they gave her some antibiotic & anti nausea ejections. However, since then she has been feeling intermittent stomach pain along with nausea. I got the followup done with the same hospital and they suggested to take some antibiotics along with pantocid and a lot of water/liquid and light food for few ...

Predisone panic/rage
Just a little background I'm a 17 year old thats 131 pounds and a pretty nice down to earth guy. Two days ago I went to the doctor for ear pain, it turns out my ear was swollen and preventing drainage, I was prescribed prednisone (2 20mg tablets each morning, 5 days), along with amoxicillin (2 500mg tablets)and antibacterial ear drops. I took my first dosage this morning about 10 o'clock, my mom called me to ask me how I was doing at around 1 I noticed I was extremely sassy and agitated talking to her but aft that was over things went back to normal. I new that prednisone was a steroid and as a dumb 17 year old I got kinda happy that I might gain muscle, so I looked it up, turns out it is the opposite and it makes you gain weight, honestly I didn't really care about that I w... ...
