Can anybody give me some advice or their own experiences with pain management doctors in Charlotte North Carolina? I suffer from chronic pain in my neck, lower back, and primarily in my left leg from a severe knee injury in '09. I broke my Tibia, Fibula, tore my acl, pcl, and the perineal nerve. My ortho surgeon said I had a 50/50 chance of having dropfoot due to the severity of nerve damage even if the reconstructive surgery went well. Luckily that did not happen, but I did have to have a 2nd surgery about 7 months later due to unexplained pain where my pcl is located and limited movement and strength gaining. The surgery was arthoscopic and although he said he removed more scar tissue than he had ever seen(what he assumed was causing my limited motion too), he said it looked like ...

Who prescribes the most quantity in Charlotte or Gastonia N.C.? ## Had anyone heard of a pain clinic called Laudenium Medical in or around Charlotte, NC? It was mentioned on one of the posts some time ago as being a good one but may be one of those cash only deals. I cannot find them listed anywhere online in NC or SC. Maybe they have changed names? or out of business? Anyone with info. on this or any other clinic or pain physician within 40 to 50 miles North or South of Charlotte that knows what compassion, respect, & proper pain control means then please post me back. I am about at the end of my rope with this chronic back pain I can't get proper treatment for but just meeting one horse's tail after another. They either give no pain medicine at all or give something like 7...

Hello. I am currently under uva pain management and I'm miserable with these doctors. I never see the same dr and I am in different meds for my spine, hips, and severe nerve pain in my hips, legs, neck, shoulder and arm. Numbness in toes getting worse, when I'm on my feet longer than ten min, and loss of feeling in right hand in ring finger and pinky. I have tried gabapentin before and I told the dr it doesn't work yet they prescibed it anyways, along with baclofen 10mg 3 Times daily, diclofenac 75 mg twice a day, gabapentin 600mg 3 Times a day. Heres my issue, I am in severe pain. I cannot keep up with my kids like I wld like to, I am still not to familiar with this area but I need a doc who doesn't treat me as if I am an annoyance, a "junkie" bc I am in legitim...

Also have stenosis in my upper back which is inoperable because it lies on top of my lungs therefore doctor left it without continuing care. After these operations i was doing ok but having to pull wire under houses as an electrician and lift heavy wood after 1 huge piece for our wood stove put me in the bed for 6 years. I cannot sleep but my primary care doc wont prescribe anything but muscle relaxers. I have severe nerve damage but the worst part is my spine punches thru my stomach when i go to a bathroom. I feel some heavy pain meds would allow me to get this pain knocked down to where i can get the rest i need and heal what i believe is a 2nd degree tear in my low back. If you know a doctor ...

I'm trying to find a private doctor in the Charlotte North Carolina area that will prescribe me Methadone? I travel a lot with my job and the clinic is pretty much as inconvenient as possible. Anybody know one? ## Many private doctors will not provide Methadone treatment, unless it is a last resort for pain and nothing else has worked. It requires constant regular monitoring of the patient, as well as accountability to the government for all prescriptions written. Have you considered a possible shorter-term treatment with Suboxone? Most people can successfully get off it, without severe problems, after treatment. ## I am a Director of Quality for a manufacturing facility in Goldsboro. I am new to the area. i come from KY. where I am prescribed methadone by my family Dr for pain. I r...

I normally see two Dr at the office I go to depending on their availability, I have been going there for 5 years. Today was my appt, the Doctors I normally see were busy so I had to see another Doctor. Dr I seen today was so damn rude. Such A ignorant Jack-Ass. Regardless of my findings and the fact that 2 doctors have been prescribing this mediation to me from that same office, she ended up telling me I am not impressed by your pain and I am not impressed by your findings, and w...

I must have called 20 or more doctors today. None of them will prescribe me benzodiazepines such as Klonopin at all. I'm 25 and have been on it since I was 16 and they just simply say "no one in the state will prescribe those thanks for calling". I'm near Charlotte but right now I would drive anywhere to get them because in a week or two I will be deathly sick and I can't face that. I just moved across the country away from my family, stopped my addiction to pain killers (that was caused by anxiety), and I'm trying to better my life. And to make it worse I'm having such a hard time living on my own mentally and they want me to stop all benzos. PLEASE HELP ME if you know of anyone who can help. {edited for privacy} ## Hello, Mike! Need to find doctor in the Charlotte area willing to prescribe painkillers for chronic neck leg and back pain and torn rotator cup and peraneal nerve injury ## Hello, Pete! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. If you require controlled substances for the long-term ongoing treatment of pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Due to the new regulations that were put in place, a general practice physician won't be able to prescribe them for you. There is also no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regular that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone recommend a...

looking for a clinic who just takes cash and you don't need a referral. i was booted out of the only one i knew of in charlotte because my ex-wife got into my bottle and stole some of them then i was called in for a pill count. go figure....i hate her ## Since no one really lists this type of information on their webpage, I suppose the only way to know for certain would be to call around and ask. Are you specifically looking for "pain management" doctors/clinics? If so, you can give the following links a try for locating PM doctors and specialists within your general area: {link removed because site no longer exists} wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist I hope this info helps! ## i'm interested in finding ones in NC as well. even if a referral is required tho...
