what does anyone know of pain pumps and what drs in new jersey use them ## There is no listing of doctors that use them. They are really only used in cases of severe pain, where someone either can't take oral medications, or they have exhausted other pain control options. Learn more pain amanagement details here. I was attacked in 2011 before that I had to have multiple surgeries life saving surgeries. I was almost a qurdopalegic I have had two major surgeries and now I am getting ready to have my 20 th suefwey a hip replacement. I have already had my right hip replaced now it is my left hip . I have had epidurals for my pain. It did not help ! I am in constant pain 24/7 level 10 ! These new laws that limit people like me keeping us away from our pain medication is criminal! These laws need to be changed . People who have abused them , people like me can not be judged for other people's mistakes . After my hip replacement they are going to put a pain blocker in my spine . I chose that instead of having to have to take pain mess for the rest of ,my life . These laws need to change ! I am retired early due to back problems. I have been on hydrocodone 10/325 for years-up to 6/day. I was given Opana 10mg 3/day by my pain doctor. I willingly decreased that to 2/day and it worked. My doc 1 month later switched to 7.5/2 day and I had to take more hydro in addition to 2 Aleve/day. I told her my problem and yet she then switched me to 5mg Opana 2/day and I still have the hydro 10/325 of which I take 6/day in addition to 3 Aleve PLUS 4-6 200mg Tylenol. I saw her last week and stated I am worried about my liver...she recommended some PRP which is NOT covered by ins. and didn't work other times I had it done. Her office is now doing injections/mess for weight loss as well as 'cool sculpting' and other 'cash' procedures including 'vampire face lift'...

Hi I am a STAGE 4 CANCER PATIENT & EVER since my doctor retired about a year ago I've been having trouble finding a new doctor to prescribe my pain medications and my alprazolam. I've been a mess I've been in a lot of pain! Anyone in the Sacramento or Fair Oaks area that could recommend a pain management doctor or any type of doctor like an internal medicine doctor who could help me that is in the area? I have tapered off 100mcg plus 100 mg Kapanol plus Ordine. I got down to about 7mg morphine a day but the pain got so bad I had to go back on 20 mg Kapanol / day. Does any one know of an alternative way of relieving pain without opiates and drugs please? I have started investigating neuroplasticity and pain and have asked my GP about intrathecal pumps which deliver pain medication directly into the damaged area of the spine. I agree with the person who stated that those who abuse pain meds, especially when you are not prescribed them - make it hard for those of us with true chronic pain. I reside in Florida and it's an Act of Congress in this state to find pain mgmt that truly believes in you. Of course MRI's, X-Rays, that helps also. But it frustrates me to no end everyone that's so paranoid about being tested because they shouldn't be taking it in the first place. I won't go through my medical issues except suffice to say one of the things I'm trying to avoid is a spinal fusion. I'm terrified because no one could help take care of me or my dogs....at all. I had my first child at 17 and my second child at 18. I am in a lot of pain due to having 3 epidurals that really messed my back up. Because of my age no doctor i have been to wants to give me anything over a 10mg Vicoden which doesn't really work due to my nerve damage and bulging discs. I refuse to self-medicate bc of my lack of knowledge when it comes to prescription pain killers. At 20 years old with a 3 and 1 year old it's hard to be the mother my children need me to be. My back is messed up again. Can I rub androgel on my sore back ## Hello, Tp! How are you? Androgel is a testosterone supplement, so it will not do anything to treat a sore back and/or sore muscles. Additionally, using it inappropriately could result in your getting too much testosterone, which may result in complications. The FDA classifies this as a steroid supplement and its typical side effects may possibly include dizziness, headache and irritability. I am looking for doctor able to prescribe my oxycodone in col ohio. I am a recent amputee with a dead hip bone and just had major surgery on my left leg wich has left some bone exposed. Was with a pain center in South Carolina for three years, but they through me out because I was taking a cough medicine given to me by my regular doctor. They said it was in my urine and they did not prescribe it. They put me on Methadone 10 mg four times a day, Oxycodone 7.5 mg three times a day, and a lot of other drugs for the last three years. I was in a car accident ten years ago, and was pretty messed up from it. What can I do about the pain center? I'm sick and tired of suffering at work and in life. A couple months ago someone gave me a few perc 30s and I was able to do everything just about pain free. Over the counter pills don't work and I'm trying to find a dr in northeast PA to help. At one point I was prescribed 10s and I had to take a nauseating amount for relief. But the doc said for higher doses he wasent the man to see. Wtf does that mean?? If anyone know of a good dr either in northeast PA or close in jersey I would greatly appreciate it. I started taking Lyrica for 3 weeks now for my Chronic Facial Pain. I had taken all the chronic pain meds and nothing work. I was diagnos with this illness since I had a root canal done, I even got 2 teeth extracted though the pain would go away. Anyway, I am now having some reaction, my feet and legs feels fat. However, my pain is about 4 in a scale of 10 being very painful. I take Lyrica 3x a day with 50 mg each along with oxycodon (if pain does not go away) and motrin 800 mg for head aches.
