Pain Medicine That Starts With F

Back in the hospital and the doctors are having a hard time finding an IV medication that will help lessen the chest pain from my pneumonia. I wear Fentanyl 75 mcg (changed every 72 hrs). Health issues; crps/rsd, ankylosing spondylitis, Arnold Chiari Malformation, Pudenal Neuralgia, are just the top my health issues. ## Hi Loveday, I don't know how much help this will be, but I was able to find a pretty extensive list of medications starting with "P". I am going through therapy for my back and need spine surgery. I have been taking percocet for the past year now and my Dr wants to change my medication. He suggested something that starts with the letter N but didnt spell it right for me. Does anyone know of pain medication that starts with that letter. Not Naproxen, it's not an anti inflammitory ## It's supposed to be for nerves. ## Probaly Neurontin which is used to ease nerve pain. ## Or maybe Norco ## Those would be my best guesses, as well, since they are both used to treat pain, just in different ways. The medication is for pain. It sounds like it is Trimabean... but have not found a medication of this name... blue oval 755/93 ## It doesn't start with an F, but it does have an F in the name. This tablet contains 500mgs of Diflunisal, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. The trade name for it is Dolobid. Learn more Dolobid details here. jointacedn ## Are you possibly referring to Ultram or Ultracet? Ultram contains the active ingredient Tramadol and Ultracet couples the Tramadol wth Acetaminophen. They are used to treat moderate to severe pain, including joint aches and some forms of Arthritis. Is either one of these the correct information you are looking for?

pain med starts with the letter a and is mild dont have the harsh side effects as other pain meds do ## Do you have any other information on it, such as it's classification? Is it a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, are narcotic, a Cox-2 Inhibitor? That would really help to narrow it down. ## New pain medicine that is in same class as Ultram. It is under lock and key at pharmacy. It is a type of 'agonist' med? I learned of it in Chronic pain management clinic. Forgot it's name.

I believe it is a herb. Made from the bark of a tree. ## Are you looking for the name of an actual prescription drug, or is it a supplement that's available over the counter? There's nothing that's ringing a bell for me, at the moment, but if you can post back with more specifics, then I'll know where to look to see what information I can find for you.

Mom has been seeing an asvertisement on tv of a pain reliever that begin's with letter ''M'', but she can not remember what it is. It must be something new maybe, that's on the market. Do you know if the information you are seeking is on a narcotic, anti-inflammatory or other type? ## Dan, go to the page Drug Categories, then to Pain Relief, and if you scroll down it will list the medications fitting in that category alphabetically. this pills shape is like a rectangle that has rounded edges. its white. and its name either starts with an o or a b. its a form of a weaker lortab. it was perscribed for my friends back pain, what is the name? ## Are you possibly thinking of Opana? You can learn more Opana details here. However, it's really not weaker than Lortab, it's actually a very potent narcotic. These medications have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. ## Opana more like oxycontin or dialudid than lortab!!

Used it when I had my total knee. Two syllables, I think. Can't take most pain meds, so need to find out. ## I did see your other post and I've done more searching, but I am not finding anything that starts with a T and just has 2 syllables. I know I mentioned Tramadol before, so perhaps you had it prescribed under the brand name, which is Ultram? It's also available with Acetaminophen as Ultracet. Otherwise, some other 2 syllable choices are: Lodine, Mobic, Lorcet, Lortab, Norco and Motrin. Have you talked to your doctor, yet? I'm sure they'd have record of what they prescribed.

the queen used it while delivering her eigth child ## Actually, that is a myth. At the time there was a debate going on between doctors who thought it was okay to use pain medication during child birth and those who did not. Thus, the store was told and perpetuated, to try to encourage people to use it and believe it was safe, however, the store was not actually true. That said, whether or not the queen did get any medication is something this site does not know. The thing most commonly used back then did not begin with a C, anyway, it was actually Ether. I was in the hospital and they gave me an injection for pain. It started with the letter g. Any ideas? ## Could it be gabapentin? Gabapentin is frequently prescribed for nerve pain, although I'm not exactly certain whether it's currently available in an intravenous dosage form. I did happen to find a clinical study on FDA.gov discussing gabapentin being taken via IV administration at the bottom of page 2 in the following link: accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2009/020235s041.pdf Hopefully this will at least help narrow potential suspects as to what medication you're searching for. They would still have the records in their computer and should be able to look back and provide you with the information. Off the top of my head, the only pain reliever I can think of that starts with a T that is commonly used is Tramadol, it's a centrally acting analgesic, though it is related to opiates and causes similar side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. the drug im looking up i actually got in a shot at the hospital when i was pregnant with my son. i cant remember the name of it because they told me the name AFTER they gave it to me and i was totally out of it. but i know it starts with an N ## nalbuphine hydrochloride < thats the name of it. i found it all by myself lol. ## If it was for pain it was probably Nubaine. for multiple sclerosis ## I am not sure if the medication I have in mind is specifically for MS related pain, but from what I understand it is mostly for relapsing-remitting MS and secondary progressive MS with relapses. I had a ceaserian baby after 8 years I have some problem in my stiches. Just before my period starts the stiches pains a lot as the bloods gets clotted there and during those 5 days + 3 days, everyday I take combiflam. Is it harmful, if I want to go for another baby?
